Hello Dr. Oostdam, I am writing to share information which you may be interested in, or perhaps not? I have started working with the PA DEP on biosolids and odor analysis and regulation. The folks I have worked with in that group are very good. however not all the groups are as well versed and informed as this particular group. For instance, in 1998, I conducted analysis of odor from the Lancaster City sewer sludge (This work was not paid for by Lancaster or the State, but a third party which was detrimentally effected by the odor). I had even reported this information to the PA DEP prior to the 1999 odor episodes. For whatever reason, the state has not acted upon odor problems with the Lancaster Sewer Authority even though these problems have been documented, analyzed, and reported to them. I would be very interested in hearing about any future odor episodes and public reactions. Please feel free to call or write if you would like more information. Some additional information about my work can be found on my homepage (see below). Thank you for keeping the Lancaster City information available. Warmest Regards Brad Dr. Bradley A.
