DECEMBER PACK MEETING/ HOLIDAY PARTY/ CAKE BAKE AUCTION

This month¡¯s Pack meeting will be a fun-filled event for the whole family. First on the agenda, our First Annual Cake Bake Auction. Scouts and parents may work together to decorate a special cake or cookies to be auctioned off in a silent auction. Your cake must be registered by 6:45 to qualify for prizes. The silent auction will begin at 7:00pm. The proceeds from this auction go towards a chartered bus for the ski trip. Any additional money raised will go towards the World Scouting Friendship Fund. (See Flyer)
The Holiday Party will be held in the Gym immediately after the Pack meeting. Only rank advancements will be awarded at this meeting to allow us plenty of time for all the festivities. (See Flyer)

SKI TRIP TO PAOLI PEAKS

Get ready for our First Annual Ski Trip to Paoli Peaks, Indiana for an evening of Night Skiing. We will meet at St. John on Friday, January 14 at 3:00pm (bus will leave at 3:45)and should return around 11:30 that evening. We hope to raise enough money in the Cake Bake Auction to charter a bus for this event. If we do not have enough funds, we will car pool to the ski area. The ticket price is $20 per person and includes ski lessons, ski rental, and the lift pass. If you are not skiing there will be no cost. Clothing should be in layers - sweats, nylon wind pants, heavy jacket, gloves, and a hat. This is a family outing, feel free to bring other family members- but a parent/guardian must accompany your scout. You must sign up no later than December 15. Mail (or bring to December Pack meeting) the registration form and a check made payable to Pack 154 with the number of tickets needed (See flyer). If you have any questions, please call Pamela Williams-Harris, 228- 4468, (e-mail - Pammieinky@aol.com), or Barry Stevenson, 228-9677, (e-mail Barymeem@aol.com).

DEN 2 STUDIES MUSIC AND COMPUTERS
by Billy Asher

In Den 2, we studies about music. We brought in cd¡¯s and tapes to listen to and talk about. We listened to music by famous composers such as Beethoven (did you know he was deaf?), Tchaikovsky, and Irving Berlin who wrote ¡°White Christmas¡± and ¡°God Bless America¡±.

We learned about the parts of a computer and how to use them. Now we will be able to get our computer badge.
