WELCOME!!!!!!!

As the new Scout year begins we welcome all new and returning scouts, den leaders, and pack committee members. We have a new roster of excited parents who have made the commitment to ensure that our scouts have the best pack ever! First, I am pleased to introduce our new committee members. Chris States takes over the helm as Committee Chairman. Our new Treasurer is Bill Ferko, Newsletter Editor is Mike Strapp, and Julie Patterson is our new Secretary. Our new Wolf den leaders are Rhonda Shirrell, Jeanette Edmundson (Den 11), Carl Herring, Bill Clarke (Den 1), Debbie Morgan, Julie Patterson (Den 4), Jennifer Nolte, and Joy Abel (Den 10). Thank you for your commitment!!!

On a more personal note, our family will be moving out of state this fall. Barry and I agree that our involvement in Pack 154 for the last four years has been such a wonderful blessing to our entire family. Through Scouting, we have made friendships that I’m sure will last a lifetime.

Best wishes to Pack 154,
Barry, Mimi, Bonnie & Zach Stevenson
REMINDER TO RETURNING SCOUTS

If you have not returned your registration form along with your check, please do so ASAP. If you have not received a registration folder, please see your den leader. Advancements will be held until 2000-2001 fees are paid.

SEPTEMBER PACK MEETING

September’s theme is “Pockets,” so on Sept. 25, fill your pockets with unusual items (please-no living creatures!). Let’s see how many really unusual things you can put in your pockets. Also, be sure to wear your pants inside out so your pockets will show. This should be a very entertaining Pack meeting - don’t miss it.

PATRIOT GAMES 2000

Patriot Games 2000, a council- wide encampment at Fort Knox, will take place October 6-8. This event, last held in 1995, promises to be a premier event for our scouts this fall. Activities for the weekend will include the Army adventure van, displays by the Army, National Guard and the Coast Guard, activities such as fishing and an obstacle course, and much more. Webelos dens may camp overnight - please contact your Webelos den leader for overnight camping. All other ranks and their families may attend on Saturday, Oct. 7 for a full day of activities and fun. There will be military displays of vehicles, planes, and helicopters. Cub Scouts can test their skills at the archery and BB ranges. A challenge course, fishing derby and other activities will also be at the games. All areas will run from 9AM-5PM with a special closing stage show at 8PM. A trading post and concession stand will also be available. The fee of $5 includes a patch and all activities. After September 22 and at the gate, the fee is $6.
