Translation of The 40th Central PAS Youth (DPP) Annual Assembly (Muktamar)
Theme Speech By PAS Youth Head, Ustaz Hj. Abu Bakar bin Chik
Kuala Lumpur, 27th May, 1999
LEADING THE CHANGE

Alhamdulillah, the utmost praise and gratitude to Allah for with His Grace and Mercy we are able to gather here today for the historic 40th edition of the Central PAS Youth (DPP) Annual Assembly (Muktamar). This Muktamar is significant and historic because our country will be holding the 10th edition of the general elections and the light of victory is shining, bringing great hopes to the people.

We, the leadership at DPP, wish to welcome and record our utmost gratitude to YB Tuan Guru Hj. Abdul Hadi Awang, Deputy-President of PAS to officiate our Muktamar. We also welcome all our guests, delegates, observers and all staff to this Muktamar. Hopefully, your presence here will invite the blessings of Allah Azza wa Jalla.

This century, we have witnessed the sufferings of the Muslim ummah at every corner of the earth. The imperialists’ domination of the global socio-economic-political system has reached its climax. In fact, their domination of technology and dissemination of information has helped them to execute completely their evil plans to control the pulse of the Muslim ummah and prevent their resurgence. In this era of globalization, the Muslim world has witnessed the establishment of various groups (jamaah) and groups that aimed at promoting Islam. However, the ability of the ummah to cripple the enemy’s strength is still doubtful.

The political confrontations between the Islamic and the secular groups in Muslim countries have become the process and test to strengthen the jamaah to represent the Muslims in a particular country. The success of the Islamic movements to win over the people through elections is seen as a great threat to the survival of the secularists who control the Muslim countries – as witnessed in Algeria, Turkey, Egypt and others. The secular government of Malaysia is no exception, it will execute all filthy tricks and perpetrate all kinds of tyrannies to perpetuate its grip on power and to continue carrying out its misguided secularist agenda. However, the Islamic scholars(ulamaks) and intellectuals leading the Islamic movements will continue to make all the preparations to accept the trust to implement the Islamic shariat whenever victory is granted by Allah. Alhamdulillah, with His blessing PAS has successfully gone through the mills to become a movement of the ummah in this country.

ROLE OF PAS YOUTH

For the past forty years, DPP, together with the other wings in the party, have attained major achievements in reforming the pillar of the party strength in what we have proclaimed today as the leadership of the ulamaks. For almost two decades, PAS has been having the Ulamak Consultative Council and under the leadership of the ulamaks PAS has moved from strength to strength. PAS Youth will always support and pledge its loyalty to the leadership of the ulamaks and shall continue to be an active element until the country and people could enjoy justice, peace and harmony of a statehood under the rule of the Islamic shariah.

PAS Youth has also contributed in strengthening the party’s organization. Today, one thing is certain, PAS Youth is seen very active at all levels which in turn has the positive effects on human development in this country. It is proven with the success of PAS Youth in producing back-up leadership and professional workforce to translate the vision and mission of PAS Youth realistically and effectively with the existence of various works units such as PASTI, Charity Unit (Unit Amal), Student Development Department (JPP), Youth Legal Unit, Governmental and Private Department (JKS), Academic Staff Dept. (JKA) and others. PAS Youth also strives to develop a number of human resource development institutions that operate as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to contribute to the people and becoming a body to conduct check and balance besides complementing to the development of the country.

However, to attain the level of a true movement, the ability of every works unit at every Youth branch and their ability to work among the local society must be improved. This need is becoming more urgent with the influx of new members, especially among the youth. Continuous educational (tarbiyah) programs, especially for new members, must be pushed so that the purity of faith, uniformity of thought and action, robust spirit of jihad, sincere and disciplined working commitment are at the optimum level. Programs and action plans to process new members as well as exploiting all resources available with them have to be generated to provide strength to the Islamic struggle.

The culture of collective actions (amal jamaie), image building and a more attractive picture of PAS struggle in order to gain public confidence in considering PAS as the alternative party shall continue to be important agendas of PAS Youth at all levels. Therefore, PAS Youth individuals, leadership, works, management, buildings and professional image must be brightened and improved until we become the role model of the world and bearing witness before the Prophet (s.a.w.) as having performed the best of the Islamic deeds. Allah says in the Qur’an:-

"And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive, (With sincerity and under discipline). He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; It is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He Who has named you muslims, both before and in this (revelation); That the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witness for mankind! So establish regular prayer, give regular charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector - the best to protect and the best to help!"
Al-Hajj (22):78
It is incumbent upon PAS Youth to prepare itself to possess the virtuous qualities as stated by the Prophet (s.a.w.). It encompasses the qualities of a leader and the followers that deserve the help of Allah in this world and in the hereafter. The Prophet (s.a.w.) says:- "Abu Hurairah (r.a.) says, the Prophet (s.a.w.) says: There are seven types of people who shall enjoys God’s patronage on the day there shall no patronage but the patronage of Allah: A just leader (Imam); Youth who is constant in his worship of Allah; A person whose heart is attached to the mosque (who observes congregational prayers at the mosque); Two persons who are in love only for Allah, whether they are meeting or parting; A man who is seduced into committing adultery by an aristocratic woman but turns it down by saying:-‘I fear Allah’; A person who gives alms but keeps it a secret that even his left hand doesn’t know what was done by his right hand; A person who is drawn to tears by his remembrance of Allah." PAS Youth is the prime catalyst for change. We must, under certain situations, be participative, by providing opportunities for the society to participate in programs we organize. There are times when we are obliged to become agents, supportive of certain elements in the society. As Muslim youths we must emerge as the power that is able to face all challenges as proof of the best leadership and most dynamic for the country’s plural society.

PAS Youth must intensify its information programmes about the alternative government through dialogue sessions, seminars, forums, conventions at division, state and national levels. Proper management of youth shall also be intensified to redress the of enthusiasm of certain quarters in organizing the wasteful music concerts. We hope youth leaders in this country will emerge from those who understand the Islamic struggle and the effort to establish an Islamic state in Malaysia.

PAS Youth should by now be fully prepared to face the 10th general elections. Party and its struggle must be given the ultimate priority without being swayed by any form of materialistic interests. Sacrificing personal interests is the identity of our struggle. PAS Youth should be mature enough to identify the enemies and realities of our struggle.

Our involvement in the democratic system doesn’t promise easy victory as experienced by Islamic movements similarly involved in the democratic system in such countries as Algeria, Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan and others. We have adopted the best approach by taking the rational steps towards political agreement (at-tahaaluf as-siyasi) and accepting the possibility of power sharing in facing the next general elections. All this demands us to adopt a more open and accommodative attitude but be always diligent towards all parties who are offering friendship. The wisdom of the Hudaibiyah Treaty shall be observed.

DESTRUCTION OF THE STATE BY SECULARISM

Observe the words of Allah:-

"Nor was thy Lord the one to destroy a population until He had sent to its center a Messenger, rehearsing to them our signs : nor are We going to destroy a population except when its members practice iniquity."
Al-Qashash(28):59
All the confusions and crises suffered by the people and country currently are proofs of the failure of the secular system, practiced and defended by UMNO and Barisan Nasional (BN), who were given the mandate by the people to govern this country for forty two years. All indicators, faith (aqidah), social, economic, political and justice problem, shown by Allah before the very eyes of the people should open up their hearts to return to Islam – a system prescribed by Allah to ensure justice, prosperity and peace for man in this world and the hereafter.

The Muslims, especially the Malays, should have already seen the failure of all programs to elevate the position of the Malays through the slogan of "Melayu Baru (New Malay)" promoted by UMNO. The programmes founded to create ‘the economic men’ in the capitalistic structure collapses instantly with the regional economic crisis. The "Melayu Baru" project to produce elite Malay millionaires is finally exposed as the scandalous cronyism and nepotism which does not benefit the Malay majority. This stinking scandal is exposed by UMNO members following the stinking political crisis engulfing the party.

What is left of the Malays after forty years of UMNO/BN rule? Obviously, their hold on landed property and equity has shrunk from year to year. They were robbed of their land without mercy, ostensibly for development which forced upon them by UMNO/BN:

    1. In 1996, 207,489.97 acres (82,995.99 hectares) of Malay Reserve land lost its status to development projects and from that acreage only 70,843.48 acres (28,338.48 hectares) or 34% was replaced;
    2. In the Federal Territory, Malay ownership of land is only 5.13%;
    3. In the urban area of Pulau Pinang only 1.04 square kilometers or 0.7% of the land is owned by the Malays; and
    4. Malay entrepreneurs own only 6% of the total shop houses in the whole country.
After twenty years of the New Economic Policy, what are the achievements of the Malays? According to the National Economic Recovery Plans in 1998:-
    1. the total bumiputera equity in listed companies stood at only 27% in February, 1998;
    2. the total number of poor households for the period 1997-1998 has increased from 346,000 to 414,700, majority of which are Malays;
    3. unemployment rate for the period 1997-1998 has increased from 2.7% to 6.4% where the figure has increased from 229,700 in 1997 to 544,200 in 1998 and the majority of them are Malays.
The Malay youths are destroyed by drug abuse which is becoming more and more critical and their problem is further compounded by social ills and the shameful practices of free sex. Of the official figure of more than 200,000 drug addicts reported by the government in 1997, 70% of them were Malay youths. Reports by the Ministry of Health show that in mid-1996, 70.33% of the 17,000 HIV carriers and AIDS sufferers in the whole country are Malay youths. Studies by the Selangor State government show that 80% of the guest relation officers (GROs) are Malay girls in their early twenties, who rather shamelessly commit immoral acts just to avoid being considered outdated. This figures are expected to increase every year and UMNO/BN have definitely failed to find the right formula to overcome the social problems since it brought it was publicised more than five years ago.

The policy of extreme pragmatism for professed by UMNO/BN is also a source of destruction to the country, especially the Malays. For an example, through the capital control measures to overcome the economic crisis, the UMNO/BN government has introduced a curb on foreign artists from performing in entertainment outlets. To fill the gap, the government promoted local artists to intensify the influence of the entertainment industry. This imprudent approach will only spread the western culture among the youths, especially the Malay youths, which in turn will hasten social decadence which is already frightening. This unprincipled change of policy is not compatible with Islam.

The Malays must be prepared to face the crisis of faith (Aqidah) which will be more serious after the year 2000 if UMNO/BN remains in power. Incidence of apostasy happening in the past has never been a cause for concern for UMNO/BN. In fact, efforts by PAS Members of Parliament to introduce a bill in Parliament on apostasy has been repeatedly blocked by UMNO/BN. A BN minister in charge of Islamic affairs has been making false promises to the Muslims that the secular government of BN was ready to introduce what it calls "the law to prevent apostasy". However, to-date, nothing has been introduced and we believe it will never. It is not impossible that this apostasy epidemic will spread more menacingly in the absence of any clear specific provision in the Federal Constitution to protect the faith of the Muslims, coupled with the continuous onslaught of Christianization. The National Education Policy and Curriculum is obviously defective because the government in power has no concern for Islam.

This country has also witnessed the blatant violations of democratic principles and abuse of power perpetrated by UMNO/BN leaders. It all began with the usurpation by the executive of powers belonging the other branches of the state which could be chronicled as follows:-

  1. the violation of the institution of constitutional rulers caused by the constitutional crisis of 1983 and 1984 (amendments to Articles 32(1), 181 and 66);
  1. violation on the independence of the judiciary emanating from the sacking of Tun Salleh Abbas from the post of Lord President of the Supreme Court in 1988 and the subsequent control of the judiciary by the executive;
  1. denying the people’s right to correct and accurate information by controlling all mainstream mass media, coupled with the introduction of the draconian Official Secret Act and Publication and Printing Presses Act;
  1. limiting the freedom of speech with the Police Act and the notorious Internal Security Act.
UMNO/BN is becoming more and more blatant in violating the democratic principles when it, rather shamelessly, treat its party programs as synonymous with government programs. Government agencies have been abused with impunity to serve the interests of the party in power and possibly, the personal interests of its leaders, without any regard for law and ethic. Just look at Mahathir’s country wide road show, which was labeled "Meet the People Sessions"- all government machinery and finance have been abused for the political interests of UMNO/BN. The gulf between them and the practices of the Islamic leadership in Kelantan is massive, and the gulf gets more massive when comparison is made with the exemplary conduct shown by Caliph Umar Bin Abd. Aziz (r.h.).

The deceiving agenda of UMNO/BN doesn’t end with their control over all government and national institutions. The people’s sentiment have been manipulated by planting the false notion that the country under the leadership of UMNO/BN and Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has been recognized as a developing country marvelled at by the whole world. Only Malaysia is capable of achieving and maintaining an economic growth of 8% for several years running. Malaysia is also a model Muslim State for the success of its industrial sector and the modernization of the Islamic administration. The people are also indoctrinated with the khurafat notion that only the BN government is capable of developing the country! Only UMNO is capable of guaranteeing the Malay Dominance. These are among their false rhetoric to hoodwink the people and the international community.

Malaysia is just like the paper tiger! All its economic miracles disappeared in a flash with the currency crisis and the collapse of the stock market. The face of "the model Islamic government" suddenly turns ugly with its display of administrative justice ala Mahathir in the case of the sacking of Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, then the former deputy prime minister. A truly shameful episode to the country and its people.

Ultimately, the people are indoctrinated with the "master and servant" culture when the country’s leader is dubbed "the great leader" who must be obeyed unquestioningly. Whatever wishes of the prime minister is granted whatever the costs may be. Malaysia must be capable even if peoples right have to be sacrificed through whatever is deemed possible to ensure their survival including exploiting of Dana Modal and Dana Harta besides defending mega projects like SUKOM Complex, Formula One circuit in Sepang and others. Thus, Dr. Mahathir emerges as the most autocratic, if not dictatorial, leader in the country’s history.

LEADING THE CHANGE

This country will continue to head towards destruction if the people do not act fast to carry out reform or change. Change is not just changing an over-aged prime minister or who has in power for too long. All forms of jahiliyah and secularism which are now institutionalized must also be demolished. Reform in cultural paradigm only will be meaningless without the structural paradigm reform and a new social arrangement. As such, the elections is the best means to change of the present government with an alternative government that will execute a complete reform towards achieving social justice.

Since the PAS Youth Annual Muktamars themed "Generating The Power of The People" (1997) and "Rise to Reject the BN" (1998), we have witnessed signs of change. Now the people have risen to state their stand in demanding change. Therefore, the situations will change, conforming to the words of Allah in the Qur’an:-

"Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change it themselves (with their own souls)."
Ar Ra’d (13):11
The wave of change can be seen through the various people’s reactions against the abuses and tyrannies of the BN government so far. These reactions are displayed through people’s forums participated by the students, youths and intellectuals. In fact they even go to the mosques to perform special prayers (solat hajat) and demonstrated peacefully in the streets, especially in the Klang Valley. The influx into PAS of ulamaks and professionals, as well as UMNO members, is testimony to the people’s consciousness to support reform.

The basic issue in the current Malaysian politic is how could the people’s power bring down the present government? With all the abuses of power and all indications of the employment of dirty tactics, it is essential for the people to unite and join forces to create a great strength, solid and guided. This strength must be translated in the elections as a method permitted by the law of the land to change the government. PAS has chosen the election method as obligatory for every citizen granted the right to choose. Therefore, preparation for the general elections must be intensified by to strengthening the cooperation among the alternative parties with solid support from all NGOs, to change the present government to a just leadership.

Answering The Call For Unity

There is no denying that the latest political development in Malaysia has changed the attitude of the masses who long for justice and peace, moving them to unite the people. The establishment of Malaysian National Justice Movement Council (GERAK), chaired by the President of PAS, Ustaz Dato’ Fadhil Mohd Noor, as an NGO is a wise and accurate move. The success of the Kelantan government to develop Islam for almost a decade, without causing anxiety to the non-Muslim communities and its ability to solve various problems created by certain groups has proved the success of PAS’s policy in creating unity.

Central PAS Youth urges all Muslim bodies to join hand with PAS to gather the strength of the ulamaks and Muslim intellectuals and bureaucrats to generate solid support of the masses to effect change. Insha’Allah, we will be able to play the role of ulul albab and emerge as an excellent group to form the leadership of the ummah to lead the development of a prosperous and just country.

We are confident that political parties with non-Muslim member majorities and all NGOs of different races and religions supporting the ambition to establish justice will come together to lead their respective groups and followers to effect change by changing the present government to a new leadership in the coming general elections. Thus, Muslims and non-Muslims, will unite to lead change for the prosperity of the current and future generations.

We hope all government agencies, especially the Elections Commission will perform their true roles and do not conspire with BN parties so that the people could make a wise choice in the coming general elections. We do not want government officers to become tools to a dictatorial regime because they are the officers who are carrying out the trust to develop the country. They are not the personnel or officers of UMNO. Therefore, they must be granted the freedom like the one enjoyed by the people aside from carrying out their duties as government servants.

All Races Must Accept Islam

The non-Muslims in this country, especially the Chinese, including DAP supporters, should be deceived into believing all the falsehood spread by UMNO and MCA about the Islamic state. The MCA is at a cross-road, so it is playing ‘Islamic bogey’ to attract Chinese support while the DAP tries to counter this tactic by adopting the approach of opposing the establishment of an Islamic state in Malaysia to enable it to remain in the mainstream of Chinese politics. The DAP should not presume that the Chinese do not accept Islam.

UMNO, which supports secularism, is wearing the imaginary Islamic dress to ensure that they continue to enjoy the support of the Muslims, especially the Malays to perpetuate their narrow political agenda. The fact is, if UMNO colludes with the MCA which is against the establishment of an Islamic state, UMNO is actually an opponent of an Islamic state. UMNO is obviously not the platform for the Muslims to place any hope of implementing the Islamic law in this country. UMNO is no different from those secular regimes in other countries which oppress the Muslims.

This scenario is testimony that Islam is the dominant basis and factor in determining the political direction in Malaysia in the next century. The Chinese in Malaysia should not forever sing the tune of the narrow racial politic played mainly by the MCA and its allies in BN. The Chinese should not denied the historical fact that Islam was the primary factor that shaped the establishment of multicultural relations in Malaysia. The openness displayed by the Malays in accepting the Chinese and other cultures was molded by Islam which was the pulse of Malay life.

Historical fact has shown that the advent of Islam into China began from the Tang Dynasty in the seventh century, long before Islam reached this region. Islam in mainland China had contributed significantly to the development of the Chinese culture and enriching their civilization which in turn contributed significantly to the international community. The Chinese Muslim scholar and intellectuals were recognized not only in the field of arts and culture but also contributed in other fields, from physics and astronomy to commanding the soldiers in the battlefields, as witnessed during the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. Admiral Cheng Ho who was sent as an envoy to the Malay Peninsular was a Muslim officer under the Ming Dynasty. Even in modern Chinese history, in a war with the Japanese, the commander of the Chinese army was a Muslim by the name of General Omar Bai Chong Si. Numerous historical facts had shown the interaction and integration between Islam and the Chinese civilizations. Islam in China is called Ching-Zhen Jiao which means the religion of truth and purity.

Article 160 of the Malaysian Constitution has defined a Malay as "a person professing the Islamic religion" which has given the impression to the immigrant Chinese community that "Islam is a religion for the Malays only" when in fact numerous immigrant Chinese have Muslim roots in their homeland. UMNO’s political attitude has a false impression of an Islamic state the misleading examples shown by UMNO leaders contributes to the confusion among the Chinese and other races about Islam.

The Indian Community who has been citizens of this country have also contributed significantly to the development of this country. We realize that many in the estates are very poor, having no decent homes and with bleak future. PAS, as a party of the masses, supporting the struggle for justice is sensitive to their plight and invite them to lead the change.

In an Islamic state, non-Muslim citizens will enjoy basic rights as provided for under the shariah law where they are known as the covenanted people (ahli dzimmah). They are guaranteed security of their lives, property and honour similar to those enjoyed by the Muslims. It is a religious duty for Muslims to protect ahli dzimmah because it is part of the demand of faith.

Islam Is The Only Solution

PAS which support Islam has and will always be accomodative to all parties who are willing to cooperate to establish justice, peace and harmony for the people. The willingness of PAS to join a coalition government in 1970 (after the May 13, 1969 tragedy) and becoming a member of BN, a member of National Economic Action Council (NEAC) in 1989, Angkatan Perpaduan Ummah (APU) in 1990, and the latest, GERAK in 1998 is a proof of PAS openness. With the collapse of the secular system which is defended by UMNO/BN, now is the time to unite, not seclude or oppress any racial group. The 21st century is the century for the formation of a Malaysian state free from racial politics, championed all along by UMNO, MCA, MIC and their allies. Malaysia must accept a new force that is capable of transcending all racial and cultural identities and overcoming primitive interests.

The development of insan kamil is the basis to the development of an Islamic state. Only humans, developed and fortified with Islamic faith and moral are capable of making the development of knowledge, economy, technology and the likes justly beneficial to everyone.

Greater peace will be achieved with the implementation of law of Allah which will invite His blessings. Racial harmony will also improve because justice is measured not based on race but truth/objectivity. Economic development is not measured just based on the creation of an affluent society but the ability of the country to achieve a balanced growth, fulfilling the people’s and country’s basic needs, the ability to compete and the endurance to face economic uncertainties domestically and globally. The economic that produces only affluent society will bring with it development garbage with will eventually turn into cancer that will devour the country’s prosperity.

Alhamdulillah, prominent (ulamaks) and Muslim intellectuals who last met in Leicester, England in February 1999, including Dr. Yusuf Al-Qaradhawi and Prof. Kurshid Ahmad had given their full support to PAS struggle to establish an Islamic rule in Malaysia. We welcome the support because it runs parallel with the clarity of PAS struggle. The people have to make the correct choice by elevating PAS to lead the change because of the clarity, transparency of the vision and mission of its struggle. In the history of its struggle, PAS has paid full attention in educating the people to stand firm in the word of Allah as the primary basis towards establishing an Islamic state. PAS calls on the people to join it to head the change or reform by making Islam the only policy and objective for the strength and harmony of the country.

INTERNATIONAL CRISIS

Similar to the domestic scene, the international community too needs the true Islamic leadership to resolve all the cancerous conflicts. As long as the world is under the stranglehold of the zionists and their allies, the world can never hope to be free from crisis and oppression. The first step is to create unity and cooperation among all Muslim states. This end can only be achieved when the Muslims have toppled all the secular regimes in the respective countries and replace them with the Islamic governments.

Central PAS Youth will continue to play active roles to assist the resurgence of Muslim ummah around the world to free the Muslim lands from the zionist imperialism. Today we see the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) and International Federation of Student Organization (IIFSO) have no more role to play as a forum to activate the resurgence of the world Muslim youth.

Central PAS Youth strongly condemns the continuous foolish actions of the secular regime of Turkey in oppressing the Muslims. The secular regime of Turkey today is the father of secularism in Muslim world and all Islamic movements have to unite to stop all those oppression. Leaders of Muslim countries are responsible for all the tragedies that have befallen the Balkan states, Palestine, Kashmir, Indonesia, Mindanao, Myanmar, southern Thailand, the Muslim region of China, Iraq and others. Leaders in Muslim countries have obviously failed to save Kosovo from being turned into a testing ground for the United States’ and its criminal allies’ weapons.

Central PAS Youth also strongly warn the Christian missionary movement in South East Asia not to exploit the situation in East Timor, Acheh, Indonesia and other region in South East Asia for the narrow interests of Christian lobbyists. They must stop all the evil plans to destroy the muslims in this region.

ISLAM IN THE 21ST CENTURY

After the collapse of communism at the end of the eighties, the world expected only one super power remained to chart the history of the world that is the free market system led by the elite businesses of the world. This was the situation at the advent of Islam in Mecca 1420 years ago. Now history is repeating itself to change the world civilization which will be subservient to Allah. Allah says:-

"Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will, or a surety, grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion - the one which He has chosen for them; And that He will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one of security and peace: "They will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me." If any do reject faith after this, they are rebellious and wicked."
An-Nur (24):55
Let us make the 21st century as the century for Islamic dakwah and intellectual discussions for the prosperity of the entire world through dialogues, forums, seminars and the likes while not forgetting the spirit of jihad which is the pillar of the Muslim honour.

I am confident that PAS Youth will grow in strength to lead the ummah to carry out reform and Malaysia which is baldatun thayyibah wa rabbun ghafur will be established in the near future. I am confident PAS Youth will pioneer wise new approaches to face major challenges in our struggle. After a decade of leading PAS Youth, I thank Allah for all the achievements and contributions by the Youth from all levels for making PAS Youth what it is now. I seek forgiveness for all the shortcomings or mistakes during my leadership and may we be blessed for all our deeds so far.
