God’s love and strength are always near.

Although the road of life is rough
and detours mar the way
for every sorrow there's a crest
on which to rest and pray
we all have woes to cope with
some have a greater share
but dear God knows the burden
that each of us can bear
and so he gives us refuge
and faith to face the storm
a peaceful harbor wherein hearts
can nestle snug and warm
for every failure there is faith
to try and try again
for every tear a smile will guide us
to a joyful glen
yes, life is filled with many things
that constitute a test
but somehow way down deep inside
I think it's for the best
for though the road of life is rough
