Bugsy's Memorial page
Bugsy, aka Mr. Gable, was a WHRS bunny needing a forever home. We had the pleasure of taking care of him for six weeks while the WHRS was on vacation along with two other bunnies as well. Bambi at the time seemed to be interested in him but I was not going to let her get involved since this was a vacation, not a fostering situation. After they all went back to the HRS, I kept thinking about him. So we set up a bunny date with them at the WHRS house but that did not go as well as I had hoped. We tried a second date a couple weeks after that but again, not so good. Then the last weekend at Mounds for the Easter campaign, I took Bambi along and there was Mr. Gable.. hmmm lets try something. I had Bambi in the shopping cart, put him in with her and right away she took control so I knew things would be fine. We called George and set up another date, but I told him things would be fine, so we adopted him. Talk about a bunny getting in trouble as in Bugs Bunny, Mr. Gable started getting into everything. Hense the name Bugsy. Love him dearly, was a very sweet bunny, loved to give kisses to everyone and anyone. He had to get a tooth trim and had a very bad experience at the place I took him and he did not make it. Very sad story, maybe another time. I am sure he is causing a reckus in bunny heaven since that was his peronality.
