IT CAME TO ME

It came to me ....

The tousled hair,
the boundless energy,
the enthusiasm for life,
the penetrating blue eyes,
the mischievous sparkle,
an invitation to join him in his world...

Could it have been so long ago?

Another night ...

A young girl bewildered,
by the direction her life should take.

Then, suddenly, he appeared.
His face conveying an inner confidence
that assured me that I could trust in him,
and more importantly,that he had FAITH in me.

If only I believed...
we could fly.

How silly of me to think he had deserted me,
for when I needed him - he had come again.
The years had changed us both.
The names had changed from Peter to Jack...
Wendy to Rose.
But the message in those eyes had not.

If I would but believe in him.
If I would but believe in myself.

Once again, I need only to grasp his hand.
And together we would SOAR ...

When I recall.. the intenstity of feelings I experienced when I first saw your face, I am still bewildered. On TV I saw a scene from Total Eclipse: Rimbaud, frightfully jealous, comes to Verlaine, after Verlaine has made love to his wife again. The moment you smashed the lamp, you left me shattered. I just had to find out who you were. I was lost.

In the days ahead... I hope you'll be alright in Thailand. You'd better not realize fully how many people are thinking of you right now... And what they're expecting from you! I wish for you the inspiration you need to play Richard, the way only you can play him. I hope you don't feel lonely on that beach....

I need only to close my eyes... I hope you see memories of your childhood. I think you were a happy child; cherish those memories. They are the basis your life is built on.....

It doesn't really matter what you say as long as it comes from the heart...so here is my two cents worth...for you, Leonardo...from Raina

When he reflects on the past year, over the tremendous success and respect he has achieved through his movie performances. He is filled with gratitude that he was able to bring such immeasurable joy and happiness to his many fans and admirers around the world. But perhaps, most of all, he has no regrets about his decision to take a year off from acting. Just as Jack Dawson described life as a "gift" that should not be wasted, Leonardo made every opportunity count...taking the time to visit new places, make new friends, explore new interests, and along the way, make some important discoveries about himself as well.

In the days ahead... he will focus his creative talents and energies toward building upon his reputation as one of the finest actors around.

He will continue to seek out complex and challenging new roles and interesting projects that will allow him to grow as an actor and beyond. I also hope that he finds everlasting happiness with that special someone...his own beautiful and passionate "Rose."

When he closes his eyes, he finds peace and contentment in the faces of his family and close friends whose love and support have helped him keep his head above water in the sea of madness that has surrounded him this past year. They are his source of strength and comfort.

This is from Cecily..who has such a pure, warm and sincere love for Leonardo that I'm positive he can feel it....even from afar!

"I loved your suggestion about a book for Leonardo and all the responses you have so far. Since they expressed so beautifuly my thoughts, I thought that the book could also contain some photographs that Leonardo could look at as he reads it, because, as the saying goes, every picture tells a story!"

When I recall.....I don't think when Leonardo went into acting, he went into it with the thought that through his work , he could be a source of inspiration as well as a role model for many people. After the worldwide success of Titanic, when he became known by just "Leo", I think he now realises that he does have that responsibility. In one of his recent interviews, he seems accepting of that fact, not drawing back from it and I think we are going to hear more and more about this aspect of his life in the future, how he chooses to use his place in the world to hopefully make a positive effect.

An article in the March issue of Teen People describes in more detail Leonardo's visit with Sang Lan, the Chinese gymnast-

Since the accident, Lan's spirits have also been boosted by some famous visitors. When actor Leonardo DiCaprio Surprised Lan by slipping into her hospital room a week after the accident, she happened to be watching her favorite movie, Titanic. Leo leaned in close to Lan's bedside and revealed the secrets behind the film's special effects. "She said it was like a dream" says Winston (her brother).

Besides leaving two autographed Titanic posters, the actor wrote a note inside Lan's copy of his picture book:

"To an extremely beautiful young girl. I can sense your courage is strong. All the love in my heart.

Love Leo"

At the end of his hour-long visit, he kissed Lan on the forehead and cheek and slipped her a secret address, promising to return her letters. "He said he wanted me to get well soon", Lan says with a smile.

In the days ahead....I think when Leonardo looks at himself, he sees someone who is happy and comfortable with the decisions he's made in the past year. I hope he never loses the "child" in him that makes him forever curious about the world around him and all the different people he meets!

I need only close my eyes.... I think that the person closest to him is his Mom....someone asked him who he most missed seeing during the filming of Titanic, and he quickly responded, "My Mom!"

For Reflections of Leonardo.....from Pandora

When I recall... When Leo looks back into the past from the place he is today, I think he'll see a magical stairway leading from a tiny house in a Hollywood ghetto all the way to a lofty summit that very few even dream of attaining. On each step I think he'll find achievements to be proud of and the desire and passion that showed how to get to the next step. When he gets to the very last step and sees all the amazing events of the last year, I believe he'll be uplifted by the knowledge that he has already accomplished so much of what he set out to do, that his hard work has paid off in a way that can only be described as phenomenal, and that he has been blessed ,as very few are, with a truly magical life.

In the Days Ahead... When Leo contemplates what lies ahead for him, I hope he sees that even though he has climbed very high indeed, the vistas of the sky are boundless, and there are many more steps above him. When he sees them he'll realize that to step up to each he must never lose the passion and desire that led him to his current place among the stars.

I Need Only Close My Eyes... When Leo closes his eyes for a peaceful reverie he is sure to see the faces of his loved ones and the faces of his millions of fans. When he does he will feel their devotion flowing into him as pure positive energy.

When I recall...... I would like Leo to have in his memories of 1998, the smiles that he put on all his fans faces, by his amazing and wonderful movie characters and by his real life acts of kindness and generosity towards charities and to his special little fans that needed him the most.

In the days ahead... This is a new year for Leo with a new and challenging role ahead of him. Leo, I wish your extrodinary talent takes you as far as you want it to go, whether it still be with acting or trying producing or directing or even going back to school.

I need only close my eyes...you will see a scene to cheer and comfort you, Leo, remembering the fun times that you have spent with your Mom and Dad and your special OMA.

Here is my humble offering for the book. Use it or lose it, whichever you choose. I wrote it in a rare moment of seriousness, so take it with that bucket of salt. This is what I would ask for Leo to find in his book of inspiration....Rev:

When I recall how many antics the ladies of the Sand and Surf, inc. pulled to be near me, I will smile and shake my head and marvel at their loyalty and unfaltering devotion.

In the days ahead, I would hope that they would continue to care for me and worry for me and share their opinions and ideas openly with each other, never losing sight of why they post on the board in the first place.

I need only close my eyes to remember what fun that I have inspired among a group of mature, intelligent women who gather daily to laugh at life and themselves and their obsession with this phenomenon called Leo. May it never end.

When he reflects on the past year I hope he can see past all the media intrusion and how his life was changed, and instead be able to look back with a huge sense of achievement. He has much to be proud of : He forever changed so many lives for the better, whether in a direct way through kind deeds done , or indirectly in his movies we watched. He should be proud of becoming a part of History ...the name DiCaprio will never be forgotten.

In days ahead I hope he continues to strive for all he believes in ... making movies which break the mould , never settling for the easy option .And on a personal level I hope he knows real love and happiness.

When he closes his eyes and looks for solace I know he will find it in the unstinting loyalty and companionship of his family and friends.They have played a huge part in making him the wonderful person he is.

When I Recall I think TBO will remember all the happiness in the faces of his fans; I hope he remembers the smiles and the sparkles in the eyes of the fans that he alone could only put there; I hope he remembers the joy and happiness he has brought to people around the world: particularly those special fans he met at the Make a Wish luncheons: I just know he will never forget the meetings with those girls; how they interacted and responded to him; how he made their wishes come true and how through giving of himself he also received a great gift as well.

In the Days Ahead

I think he will remember the words of his father and mother; his motto to be himself and be true to himself and his goals regardless of what the press says about him; the wise teachings he received that he and those close to him know who he is, and that is the important thing, regardless of all the praise or criticism that the world at large is tossing in his direction at any given moment.

I Need Only Close My Eyes a scene he can focus on when he wants to be cheered or comforted: his Mom's house and spending a day there with her just being himself. The unconditional love he receives from her every day of his life.

When I Recall..... I think Leo's memory of 1998 will be that he has done exactly what he needed to do. Take a year off from working and just plain enjoying himself. He tried to stay out of the spotlight regardless of what the media wanted him to do and through all of that, we've loved him even more.

In The Days Ahead..... I can't remember exactly what I'm supposed to be saying here but I think that Leo is going to put his heart and soul into this next movie role and forget about everything that has happened to him in the past year. He'll give us what we want most from him and that's an outstanding performance.

I think the thoughts that Leonardo will recall when he reflects back over the past year are that, in the course of this most amazing year with all the intense attention focused on him, he was able to hold on to his true identity and the things most dear to his heart with the help of his family and friends.

When Leonardo looks to the days ahead, I hope he sees nothing but exciting and new challenges as far as his career and as far as his personal life, that he is already looking into the eyes of a loved one who cares for him as a person.

When Leonardo in his moments alone, closes his eyes, I think the visions that comfort him are his close friends and family - they will always remain by Leo's side no matter what.

When I recall..I think Leo will well remember all the craziness that surrounded him this past year. But I think he will also recall the family members and close friends who made it possible for him to survive this year as maturely as he has.

In the days ahead,.... I think he will be more career-oriented and and he will be grateful that he has been presented with so many opportunities. He will appreciate that and look with fondness on the thousands of fans who will follow his career.

For comfort,.. I think he has only to look within and to his parents and a few close friends to remember who he is and and to keep himself grounded.

For our Little Grasshopper....when he recalls the past year....he will think with fondness on his experiences during this year he took for himself...to renew old friendships...and to win back old loves.

He accomplished what he set out to do this past year....and now he can focus on what he intends to accomplish this coming year..

In the days ahead...What I believe BaBy looks forward to is a year filled with hope for the success of this film he begins working on in a few weeks. I think he is hoping to return to what he loves doing the best...the complicated internally troubled type character that Richard seems to be according to the book. I think he also prays that this year will bring him some peace where the media is concerned. I believe that he is basicly a very private, shy person....and when I say shy...I mean it in the sense of his public life...not his private life.

I believe when TBO closes his eyes.....in an attempt to be cheered and comforted...he will conjure up an image of his lady.....his friends....his dear Mom and his Oma.....his Dad who always gives him the best advice and steers him in the right direction career wise...and I also believe he thinks about his legions of fans, and their loyalty to him during this past very private year.

When Leo thinks of his past experiences this year... he gets a feeling of great accomplishment & achievement. He is appreciative of this and in his modest way, feels very fortunate.

When he thinks of the days ahead... he is excited by the prospects of the new movie, the other roles after that and new opportunities. He knows he will after to work hard but he has "found himself" and pondered and mapped out his career during his time off.

When he closes his eyes ...he thinks of his family,the special role they play in his life; he also thinks of his friends and those others that he loves deeply. He pictures the memories of the tours, parties, premieres and the excitement of movie openings in the 14 months and the relaxing activities and thrilling locales he has traveled to and remembers the numerous people he has met and befriended.
