I've been interested in wildflowers since the 70's. I would spend my summers out in the woods and fields studying them and keeping lists of new ones I'd identified. About twelve years ago I took up photography, and the two interests made a natural pairing. I'm a member of the Photographic Society of Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Wild Plant Society. I live in Northwestern Rhode Island, trying to grow as many wild plants as I can, so they're easier to photograph. Some of the photos in this website were taken on my property.
