2. Press the armhole edges to the inside along the staystitched line. | |
3. Stitch the side seams, clipping as needed to match the two edges. | |
4. Press the side seams open. | |
5. Right sides together, pin the lining to the jacket. |

6. Turn right side out and press the edges, rolling the lining slightly to the inside as you press. | |
7. Hand stitch the armhole edges of the lining to the jacket armhole. |

8. Mark the buttonhole with pins or disappearing fabric marker. | |
9. Stitch the buttonhole any size you wish. |

11. Hem the edges of the scarf with a rolled machine hem or hem by hand. | |
12. Tack the corner of the scarf with a few hand stitches to the inside of the shoulder seam on the right side. |

13. Pull the scarf around the neck and through the buttonhole, fold and fan the scarf out for an attractive finishing touch. |
