"Royal Weekend in Paris"
Marie Antoinette style gown in two pieces. The under dress is a basic strapless gown with a fitted bodice sewn to a lined full skirt over a gathered net or tulle layer. Shoulder straps can be added if needed. The outer gown is styled like a full skirted coat and held closed to the front with snaps or small hooks. The sleeves of the coat end in full circular flounces with a layer of gathered lace under the flounce. Chiffon or satin ribbon bows trim the bodice front of the dress. The under dress is classic styling and can be used for a modern garment.
