HOW TO CUT AND PASTE

I was recently asked how to cut and past ?
I remember my experience the first time I had to do this
It was to add a banner ad to my page and I was lost .
I will try to explain the process here.

The first thing that you must be able to do is to access the HTML code for your page.
( *** Or Open a Word, Notepad, Excel files *** )
The only thing I can tell you here is that you will have to look for it
To see what you are looking for go to VIEW at the top of this page and click on it
go down to source on the box that opens and click on that
a new page will open and that will be what you HTML source code will look like.

OK now on to the lesson !
To copy or cut and paste
( copy is better as the original will still be there )
With your mouse pointer go to the part that you want to copy
Left click at the start of the text and hold down on the button
drag your pointed over the part that you want to copy
When you have it highlighted release the button
put your mouse pointer on the highlighted text and
right click on it
in the box that opens click COPY
you now have a copy of the highlighted part.

heres a little example of it

TEXT TO COPY

<!-- this is the text to cut start here -->
The text you will be cutting is
in this space
Highlighted something like this
<!-- this is where your text cut ends stop here -->

EXAMPLE OF IT HIGHLIGHTED

	<!-- this is the text to cut start here -->
	The text you will be cutting is
	in this space
	Highlighted something like this
	<!-- this is where your text cut ends stop here -->

NOW you must go to the page where you want to paste it
( the HTML CODE of the page )
( *** OR open another or New Document U want to paste to *** )
Locate the place where you want to paste it
Put your pointer there and left click on it
without moving it right click there
In the box that appears click on PASTE
The part you copied should now be pasted in that spot
***Save your work*** and it should now be on your page.

This also works for URL`s if there is one on a page
do the same copy and then past it into the address of your
browser and click ENTER and you should go to the URL.
