OPTICAL ! ! Illusion ? ?

Remember the craze a few years back with Random-Dot Stereo-Grams?

There were posters and computer file images with a
bunch of random dots, and if you stared at it long
enough, then the hidden image of an airplane or a
dolphin would pop out at you.

There was a lot written
about them in journals and discussions of the
perception by the eye and the psychology and
involvement of the mind and brain.

Well, this is new; don't know how it works,
but if YOU stare at the attached scene long enough,

then an image
of a boat will pop out at you.
