CONTRA INDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to any quinolones Children below 12 years and adolescents, Pregnancy and Lactation.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Use with caution in patients with renal impairment, cerebral arterioscierosis or epilepsy. Keep patient well hydrated to prevent crystalluria.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
Antacids decrease cipriofloxacin absorption. Potentiates oral anticoagulants. Rifampicin reduces serum concentration of ciprofloxacin. CNS excitation occurs with concurrent administration of quinolones and NSAIDs.
SIDE EFFECTS
Diarrhoea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, restlessness and arthralgia.
