LAWDAWGS

a tradition of excellence

Game Notes

vs Silver Bullets, L 25-28

The LAWDAWGS looked good.  Yeah, losing sucks, but heads should still be held high.  Silver Bullets are probably equal to the best team in the league (you can guess who that is) and it looked that way during the game.

In the top of the first inning, Silver Bullets put 9 on the board with some good hitting.  The DAWGS, however, put 9 across in the bottom of the first to tie it back up and stun the silver bullets.  The inning was highlighted by a 2 run dinger from Alan and back to back solo shot from Lee.

The game stayed close until the 5th inning, where the Silver Bullets went up 28-16.  In the bottom of the 5th, the DAWGS were able to put 9 more across, but the rally puttered out at 25-28.  The inning was highlighed by Big Alan Conaway hitting another bomb, this time off of a city bus parked on the side of the road behind the field.  Even the bus driver stepped out to offer his applause.

The game was then called on time, so no 6th or 7th inning.   In this author's humble opinion, the DAWGS would have put it on them in the 6th and 7th and come out on top.
