In Times Like These, We Question Why. We Know We
Shouldn't But We Do Nonetheless. Such Needless Death,
Such Heartless Pain, Such Tragedy.

When I woke up this morning, WOW what a beautiful day
But then I turned on the television, no words I had to say.
The tradegy unfolded, right before my eyes
Many people, hurt and some have died.

Our country is hurting, our people are scared
You know, they did this to us, of our fate they did not care.
I thought, to myself, it could happen anywhere,
Then I began to feel afraid, I felt I could not bear.

But then I asked the Lord to give me strength to understand why
And make it easier for the people that have family that died.
At times we feel helpless, and this is one of those times
Lord, please, give them your hand, to hold for you to guide.

After all they have done, our flag still flies proud,
Even though our country stands cloaked in a shroud,
A shroud of pain and death, of dust and rubble,
They thought they would kill the spirit, but now it is double.

Please say a prayer, get down on your knees,
Ask God to forgive them, ask him to make them see.
Our country and people have never done such a wrong,
Lord help them and keep our heroes strong.

God, be merciful to us and bless us;
look on us with kindness, so that the whole world may know your will;
so that all nations may know your salvation.

May the peoples praise you, O God.

May the nations be glad and sing for joy. Because you judge the peoples with justice
and guide every nation on earth.

Amen
