Brian Wayne Holmes was killed by a drunk driver on December 4, 1992. Brian was 17 and was the passenger in a one-car crash. He was thrown from the vehicle and died instantly with a broken neck and a severe blow to the head. His blood level was .18. His friend had a BAC of .20. The car landed on his friend's legs but he recovered. Neither used seat belts.

His mom writes, "not a day that goes by that I don't think about Brian. My life is not the same at all. Their passing leaves a big void that can't be filled. You learn to live with the void, but it's there always. I love them back then and now and always." (Source: www.madd.org)
