What Does This Site Have?

This site has a Perl tutorial for beginners, a place to download a great perl interpreter for DOS, and an introduction to sockets that goes along with the network programming section of the perl tutorial.

What Do I Need?

All you really need is a good perl interpreter and some free time. You cannot learn perl just by reading a little now and maybe some later, you have to be dedicated. It really helps a lot if you have a good webserver to run on your computer if you plan on using Perl for CGI. I recommend the Xitami Webserver.

The Perl interpreter wont work on my computer, what now?

If you cannot get that version of the perl interpreter, I suggest going to www.perl.com and download the port for your platform/operating system.
