Well, I've decided to start this page now. It's a page for suggestions for animes that people should see. I'll be making some suggestions and others can email me for suggestions.





Movies


Card Captor Sakura: The First Movie Sakura and Madison head to Hong Kong cause Sakura "fatefully" won the grand prize. As she gets there she has this recurring dream of a woman and alot of water. Till one day she meets her and finds that she has been trapped for years and that she once loved Clow Reed. Sakura's friends are captured and she must also save Hong Kong.


Card Captor Sakura: The Second Movie Taking off where the TV series ended, Sakura is missing Shaoran who had returned to Hong Kong. Adding to this pressure, some strange new enemy is making her cards disappear, leaving Sakura feeling helpless and confused. But even when Shaoran and Meiling return, Sakura just can't get up the nerve to admit her feelings for him. As the town of Tomoeda prepares for its spring festival, Sakura rehearses for her lead role in their play, Princess Nadeshiko....but the mysterious enemy, a small girl with long flowing hair has other plans for her. Sakura must resolve her feelings in order to spare the town.. showing just how much she has grown and matured.


Detective Conan:Movie 4 - Hitomi no naka no Ansatsusha (Captured In Her Eyes) There has been a series of murders that can't be solved. Till Ran is one of the people who has witnessed a murder but she has been stunned and can't remember a thing till Conan discovers who it is, but something happens and he and Ran and trapped in a park of some sort with the killer, who wants Ran dead.

Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz A year after Treize has died and the world is at peace...till Relena get's herself captured and the gundam pilots must go and save her along with the world from a small girl: Mariemaia Khushrenada, Triez's daughter.


Oh My Goddess!:The Movie Life had been proceeding normally for Belldandy on Earth.... her sisters were getting along, she and Keiichi were working on a new racing stunt together, though she was beginning to worry about the future of their relationship. But a series of strange events soon turns things upside down, an eternal seal that had been locked away on the moon was stolen, a new dark haired girl joins the auto club, and a voice from Belldandy's past, her teacher and mentor Celestine, suddenly reappears. Unable to communicate with Heaven, the three must face this threat alone, but then even Belldandy's faith is tested when her memory is erased. And always at the heart of the matter, is the eternal question as to whether a Goddess and a mortal human can really be together.


One Piece The crew stes off to save the wrold from some fat guy(I think) from taking over with his machine gun? To tell the truth I saw this a long time ago and can't remember the plot but it was a very good movie.


Princess Mononoke/ Mononoke Hime The forest is dieing, the war is raging between the gods(large animals) and the humans. Ahitaka has been cast from his village because of a curse (hatred) and he meets a young girl named San who is Princess Mononoke. He falls in love(I think)and wishes to live with her but he is cast away again and the forest is in danger of dieing.


Sailor Moon S Serena and her friends are having a wonderful christmas when Luna goes missing and finds and man who has a terrible, incurable disease. She wishes to help him but she is only a cat. When a unusual snow storm hits the city and Queen Kaguya wishes to take over the Earth. The scouts defeat her but what about Luna's friend who is dieing (literally) to see his imaginary princess.


Sailor Moon SS Mini-Moon/Chibi-Usa has found a new friend who seems to good to be true, till one night Chibi-Usa is put under a spell by a boy with a flute, but luckily she is saved by the scouts. However, they are no match for the sorcress that is behind all this who has put many of the other children of Tokyo? under the same spell and have taken them away on large flying ships. Chibi-Usa gets caught on the boat and the scouts follow it with Chibi-Usa's new friend to try and save the World, the children and Chibi-Usa


Sailor Moon R: Promise Of the Rose A strange chain of events have happened, people being take over by flowers, a stange man coming and saying that Darian is his best friend when Darian has no recognition of this man. All seemed to be as strange as it gets when Sailor Moon and the scouts encounter a deadly flower: The bewitching and deadly Kisenian Blossom. A small but powerfull flower. It has taken over Darian's old friend Fiore and is about to also take over Earth by sending a meteor covered with flowers down to the living planet.


Tenchi Muyo In Love One day, when Tenchi watched an old video of his mother, his mother's image starts to vanish and so does he. They found out that someone has gone back to the past and has eliminated Tenchi's mother thus erasing Tenchi's existence. Washu sends Tenchi and company back to 1970, when Tenchi's parents were still in high school. Even with Tenchi and co. around her, Achika's (Tenchi's mother) safety is not guaranteed, since the villain whom they face is Kain, an extremely powerful galaxy criminal seeking revenge from the Jurai blood.


Anime


Adventures of Mini-Goddess This is basically the three Goddesses have strange adventures, such as fat mice getting trapped in holes and such and such.


Card Captors After hearing strange sounds in the basement, 4th-grade student Sakura accidentally releases a deck of magic cards. Each card has its own personality and own power which, once harnessed, can be used by the person who owns it. The problem is that the cards have already escaped, and now she must find and gather the creatures which reside in the cards before they can cause damage. It sounds like an impossible task but the help of the teddy-bear guardian, Kerebus, and the powers of each captured card, help her along the way.


Detective Conan Shinichi, a 17 year old high school student is equivillent or a modern day Sherloc Holmes. However he has been turned into a small boy. To keep himself covered up he takes the name Conan and lives with Ran(who he secretly has feeling for)and her father(who is a cop). Each episode Conan goes off with Ran's father who gets caught in a murder of some sort exp: exploding golf balls, people dead on elevators etc. and each time Conan is the first to solve it.


Devil Hunter Yohko When a nornal 16 year old is appointed the 108th Devil Hunter Yohko's world gets turned upside down. Besides living her normal life she must also defend the world of evil spirits or "Devils".


Gundam Wing See Story section


Neon Genesis Evangelion Tokyo 3 is the last key to the survival of human race. Angels, the unknown matter that have only one will of causing catastrophic "Third Impact" has to make a contact with the Adam, the origin of every being which resides in the deep down of Tokyo 3. To prevent this from happening, Robot form called Evangelion must protect the city and three pilots are sent out to pilot them:Shinji, Rei and Asuka.


Oh My Goddess! When one day Keiichi accidentally calls the Goddess Helpline he is patched through to Belldandy(Goddess first class) and she says that he may wish for anything he wants and she will grant it as long as it's from the bottom of her heart, and so he wishes for so he wished for a girl like Belldandy to be with him forever and his wish was granted. So Belldandy stayed by his side as he wished.


Ranma 1/2 It's not easy being a teenage martial artist named Ranma Saotome but, it's even worse when you father takes you away from home on a decade-long training mission in China and he doesn't speak a word of chinese and yet he insists on bring you to a cursed spring know as Jusenkyo, where falling into the water turns you into whatever or whoever drowned there last. And then, the two of the fall in turning Ranma into a girl whenever he touches cold water and a father who turns into a panda.


Rurouni Kenshin In the 11th year of Meiji, there was a swordsman who appeared in Downtown of Tokyo. He called himself Rurouni (Wandering Samurai). Behind his friendly smile, an unknown and bloody story was hidden. In order to pay for his crimes, after the successful political reform, he started his wandering life. From Shogunate Era to Meiji Era, every step was built by blood. Until he met a girl, Kamiya Kaoru.


SlamDunk Sakuragi, the #1 street brawler in Shohoku high school, is in love with lovely Haruko, and in order to win her over, he joins the Shohoku Basketball Team. There are three problems: Team Captain Akagi is her brother, Haruko has a crush on basketball prodigy Rukawa, and Sakuragi knows absolutely nothing about basketball. Soon fartehr into the series he realizes he has some athletic talent and with hard work and team playing, Shohoku begins to shine as it climbs from the basement of the league to the top.


Vision Of Escaflowne 15 year old Hitomi Kanzaki is not like other High School students. She can read other's fortune with Tarot Cards and with a little help from a pendant her grandmother gave her. When one day she is transfered to another dimention and planet called Gaea where she meets a mysterious young swordsman: Van Fanel. The day he is crowned king his homeland is invaded by invisible giants and so he defends his country with his mecha:Escaflowne. But it alone is enough and soon his homeland is destroyed. So he, his mecha and Hitomi's power set off to save Gaea.


Vampire Princess Miyu Japan is under attack by the Shinma, demonic forces that try to take control of the spirit realm. Here to save Japan are Kyuuketsuki Miyu(Vampire Princess Miyu) and her sidekick and occasional savior Larva. Together, using their spiritual powers the two solve horrific mysteries and battle the invading Shinma.


Weiß Kreuz They are the white hunters of the night.

Four guys with no pasts, present or future who hunt the evildoers of Japan and slay them in the name of justice. All of them fight for their own reasons -- some noble, some not.

They are high school students during the day also owners of a wonderful little flower shop and killers during the night:Omi,Ken,Youji and Aya are now the four assasins that defent the helpless.


Yu-Gi-Oh Yu Gi's grandfather has given him an millenium item from long ago and now he can unlock a spirit within himself to aide him in his duels. However there are people who are after his item and to get it they have taken away YuGi's grandfather's spirit and have trapped it and in order to get him back Yu Gi must beat Pegasus. Along with Joey, Tristan and Taea he travels to his island to go to the aide of Yu Gi's grandfather.


Manga


Card Captor Sakura This is basically the same story as the anime but it moves alot faster, for example in one book Sakura can capture about 3 cards (not clear about this) and also in the book, Li and herself have a closer relationship although in the beginning they fight for Yuki's heart.

Dragon Ball Z Dragon Ball Z tells the same story as the anime, but this goes ALOT faster unlike in the Anime the battle between Freeza took about 20 something episodes(or more) and it gets kind of boring watching the two of them fight continuously. However, in the Manga everything goes much faster and it has more humor than the show has.
Detective Conan It tells the same story as the anime, but the manga shows more of the clues on how Ran finds out that Conan is really Shinji.


El Hazard Great book, about a boy who gets transfered to another world by kissing a statue(which comes to life)and in this world he gets a strange power, there is also three or four women who fall in love with him but he only exists in El Hazard for one person and vise versa.


Gundam Wing Same story but this has a different dialog and it shows specific things that happen and explains that the anime and the movie. For example it tells Trowa's real name.


Gundam Wing Episode Zero Great book, explains how the gundam pilots became the pilots of their gundams.


Inu-Yasha I don't really know much about it but it is a great manga,make sense?


Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind Humanity is in trouble of dieing and Nausicaa and her trops move forwards in attemts to end the battle. Yet this story is no war saga, but rather the story of the coming of a pacifist. Along with her troups she moves forwards mourning the death of her compagnions and her foes.

Although this is a really crappy review, considering I can't say any more because it'll just ruin the story this is a really great book, I'm serious. When most people hear pacifist they think Relena (that's what I think) but Nausicaa is nothing like it. She shows a stronger compassion towards the end of the war. This is seriously a GREAT book.

Created by: Hayao Miyazaki, the person who brought you the Excellent movie "Princess Mononoke" and others such as "Kiki's Delivery Service", "My Neighbor Totoro", and producer of "Pompoko" which won 1995 Academy Award's Best Foreign Film.


Oh My Goddess! The original series of OMG wasn's as good as it was expected to be (from what I've heard) but the other books such as "The Fourth Goddess", "Childhood's End" and more were excellent books.

Pokemon Do not read the books that follow the anime which raided the world a few years ago, but read the manga, like the one where Ash get's a crush on Gary's sister(yes he has a sister)this (I found) was much better than the anime. I beleive this one was created for the older "people" who enjoyed watching pokemon.


Ranma 1/2 About a boy who turns into a girl when he touches cold water. The manga is about the same as the show. The books are more humorous than the original anime.


Sailor Moon Much better than the anime! This is a series that no one should go with out reading. In the manga Serena and Darian meet much sooner than in the show and they go throught alot more hardships with their relationship, but all and all the story goes faster, much more things happen for example the other scouts fall in love also. And this one actually ends...I don't think there is an end to the anime....?


SlamDunk Same as the anime except in book form, people may either chose to watch it or read it. Either was it's pretty good.


Tenchi Muyo/ No Need For Tenchi This is different from the show by somewhat alot. This mostly taks about the others such as Sasami. The anime mainly talks about Tenchi and the five women in his house and how he is out to find out stuff. In the Manga/comic it's alot more different because in the manga/comic it seems as thought everything has ended and they live in peace now and how things happpen. It's actually a very good series of books to read, their just basically small adventures.
