"Ahh! Fuck it! I can't work with this noise!" Vegeta growled in frustration in a gravity room. It was another unsuccessful attempt to increase his power level; the drama outside was too much for him to take…
"Why are you always such a bossy bitch Bulma!"
"Because you're a irresponsible bastard! You're always going out late without a explanation of what you've done!"
"That's because YOU make life here so miserable!"
"Well, fine I'm such a burden then go out and FUCK yourself!"
"Bye Bitch!"
"Bye Fucker!" Two slams echoed the last curse and all was quiet for a moment at least. Then Vegeta's saiyan ears picked up another sound outside; it was a very foreign sound to his ears. His curiosity piqued he turned off the gravity machine and went outside to see what it was.
Bulma stood all alone, she was sobbing into her hands. Her long blue hair was gently swaying in the wind. To Vegeta's surprise she almost looked beautiful.
"Woman, what are doing out here?" Vegeta called out.
She turned around her face red and angry, surprised at being discovered. "What do you think Vegetable brain?"
"Hmph, you are such a fool." Vegeta smirked. "Then you are really crying over that weakling. Ha, I thought you had more sense then that, woman."
"What business is it of yours?" Bulma snapped as she tried to compose herself. "Besides I wasn't crying, I have allergies and the weather bothers me. Vegeta ignored her and stride over to Bulma his face unusually calm and composed. Vegeta pulled one of his white gloves off and gently ran it over her face. Bulma was so surprised at his action she stood stock still as he wiped her tears away.
"You were crying, Bulma." Vegeta said remarked. "You shouldn't cry it is not becoming for a woman like you.
Bulma turned away and folded her arms around her. "Yeah so?" She said coldly. "Why does it matter to you? Do you like to watch girls cry too?" She immediately regretted the cruel remark as Vegeta angrily spun her around to face him.
"Don't you ever say anything like that in front of me again, woman!" Vegeta snarled angrily he looked as if he was about to strike her but he stopped as he nearly touched her face. "I don't know why I bothered to come out here." He growled and turned away from the trembling girl.
"Wait…. It was my fault. I'm sorry Vegeta. Just don't go. Please." Bulma pleaded in spite of herself. She grabbed his arm and he turned to face her again. Vegeta regarded her coldly and then by a sudden impulse he grabbed her by the waist and started to fly upwards. "What are you doing?" Bulma gasped and clung to him afraid of heights.
"Be quiet and you'll see." Vegeta said and picked up speed. The landscape around them flashed and blurred as they sped by. Vegeta had always been cold and cruel since the moment he arrived on Earth, but slowly during the past few weeks Vegeta seemed to change. He had been strangely sympathetic towards her. And now he was going out of his way to do something for her. Bulma wasn't sure what to make of it.
Before she knew they had landed upon a huge cliff overlooking a sparkling blue ocean. It seemed like that there was only beautiful clear water. Bulma moved out of Vegeta's arms and stared open mouthed; it was so wonderful even at this height.
"Ahhhhh!" Bulma screamed as she tripped on a rock and started to fall forwards when Vegeta caught her and wrapped her securely in his arms.
"You are going to have to stay here, woman. I won't have you falling into the water. Because I'm not in the mood to save a dumb drowning woman." Vegeta said keeping her close.
"Fine." Bulma said simply leaning on the saiyan warrior. Together they watched the sky and eventually Vegeta spoke again to answer her unspoken question.
"Sometimes, I come here to relax when you and your stupid world gets to me. The planet Vegeta never had places like this." Vegeta said staring at the water.
"What was your home planet like?" Bulma asked her curiosity getting the better of her.
"A barren wasteland, the last time I saw it, nothing grew and lived there but the strong. Only the strong survived on the planet Vegeta. The weak never had the chance of ever being conceived there. I don't miss that shithole. There was nothing there I could ever care about." Vegeta said spitefully.
"Didn't you have parents or family…?" Bulma asked turning around meeting him face to face.
To her surprise Vegeta started laughing: "On my planet there was no such thing as a family. You are all you have, not even if you elite or a low-class solider. "
"Do you still feel that way now, Vegeta?" Bulma asked and he stopped laughing.
"Don't get mushy on me, Bulma." Vegeta smiled. "And what happened back there? I thought things were getting better between you two." For a guy that wasn't around much he sure does know a lot. Bulma thought as she searched for a answer to his question.
"No, he and I have grown apart. I don't think we don't have any feelings for each other anymore." As Bulma talked fresh tears drifted down her cheeks. "It's funny…I always thought he and I would always be perfect for each other."
"Hmph, Yamuacha is too childish…. I don't think he knows his head from a hole in the ground." Vegeta chuckled. Despite herself Bulma laughed too.
"Hey! Shut up!" Bulma said hitting Vegeta on the arm.
"C'mon Bulma. You know it's true." He said laughing.
"Yeah he's a moron but I'm the idiot who dated him for all those years." Bulma said bitterly. "I wanted a boyfriend so badly that I followed around a man that doesn't know left from right." I can't believe I'm saying this Bulma thought Vegeta is probably scorning me by now.
"You're right. But do you know what the most important part about making a mistake woman? You correct it, understand?" He replied.
"It's not that easy." Bulma said unhappily.
"I didn't say it was." He snapped and Bulma stared at him in shocked surprise. His grip tightened on her and they started to fly upwards again. "It's late." Vegeta said masking his emotions once again. Bulma nodded numbly as he flew through the darkened sky, they flew in silence. Until Vegeta suddenly stopped, and stared at a series of stars.
"They are beautiful." Bulma said looking up with him.
"It looks like a warrior." Vegeta remarked.
"That's Orion and that over there is…" Bulma began. "What is it Vegeta?" He was looking at her strangely.
"Hmm, nothing at all woman except in this light your hideousness is almost beautiful right now." Vegeta remarked.
"Now who is the one getting mushy, Vegeta?" Bulma asked smiling. "And weren't we heading home?"
"Woman, you really are a bitch." Vegeta said mischievously and began to fly again.
"It's the only way I can be." Bulma said as they finished the flight back.

"But do you know what the most important part about making a mistake
woman? You correct it, understand?"
Was he right? Bulma thought should I stay around Yamuacha just so I
wouldn't be lonely? Or would there be something better with someone else?
As Bulma thought Yamuacha suddenly appeared in front of her and said:
"Bulma can we talk please." And he kneeled before her and looked at her
imploringly.
"Yamuacha I…" Bulma started to say.
"Wait, please Bulma. I'm really sorry and I shouldn't have said all
those things to you. Say you'll come back to me." Yamuacha pleaded.
Tears filled her eyes and Bulma said: "I'm sorry too Yamuacha…" And
she broke off as she embraced Yamuacha.

"But why Bulma? I don't understand." Yamuacha said confused.
"Our life is miserable together Yamuacha, can't you see that?" Bulma
asked quietly. "I just can't anymore, it's different now. I have feelings
for someone else now."
"You can't be serious Bulma! Think of all the time we spent together,
Bulma!" Yamuacha argued.
"That's exactly what I have thought of Yamuacha! Were we ever really
happy together? We both have grown up and apart from each other." Bulma
said just as harshly.
Yamuacha shook his head: "If that's what you really want Bulma I'll
leave. But, I hope you realize that this is a mistake." With that said
he flew away into the night sky.
"I don't think I will Yamuacha." Bulma said slowly as she watched him
disappear.

Bulma closed her eyes expecting to die any second and reopened then
to see Vegeta deflecting the blast away from her. "I could have killed
you…" He dropped to the ground in exhaustion from his training and anger.
"Vegeta, why did you do this?" Bulma asked as she dropped to the ground
as well and hugged him tightly. Vegeta's arms slowly went around Bulma
as well and Bulma kissed him gently on the mouth. To her surprise he suddenly
went rigid in her arms.
"Get away from me!" He snarled again and pushed her away.
"Vegeta what's wrong with you? Was it something I did?" Bulma asked
tentatively.
"Just leave me alone." Vegeta said walking away. Hesitation to follow
him gripped her as she watched him walk away, but then her usual stubbornness
took control again. She needed to find out what was wrong with Vegeta and
so she ran after him.
"Vegeta please tell what's wrong!" She called out.
"Don't toy with me! You already know Woman!" He growled turning around.
"I'm not toying with you. I'm confused and scared Vegeta, can't you
see that?" Bulma said softly.
"I was right about you, tonight I saw it all." Vegeta sneered. And as
Vegeta said those words something clicked in her head. She realized why
he had been so angry.
"You thought I was getting back together with Yamuacha?" Bulma said
in disbelief.
"You weren't…?" Vegeta asked.
"That's right. What kind of woman do you take me for Vegeta?" Bulma
said a little indignantly and then added mischievously: "You weren't jealous
were you Vegeta?"
"That would be a understatement." Vegeta said looking at the rubble
of the Gravity Room. Despite everything that happened that night Bulma
started laughing at a startled Vegeta.
"Woman, I don't know why I bother with you." Vegeta said smiling and
pulling Bulma to him. Bulma stopped laughing as he ran a gloved hand over
her face and kissed her. He expected her to retaliate with a weak hit but
instead she kissed back "We are going back to the house and to your room,
and there will be no arguments about it." Vegeta said when the kiss was
over. Bulma leaned against the Saiyan Prince as he picked her up and carried
her back to the house. Maybe she thought I won't be so lonely after all
at least I know I won't be lonely tonight.
