The Sundance Channel will air the Radiohead documentary, "Meeting People Is Easy," on September 6, at 2:35 pm EST.
Radiohead has been confirmed to perform Oct. 14 on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" program, in support of the U.K. act's long-awaited fourth album, "Kid A," due on Capitol Oct. 2 internationally and a day later in North America. The brief U.S. visit will come less than a week after the band wraps a month-long European tour with a three-night stand Oct. 5-8 in Kildare, Ireland. The trek begins this Friday (Sept. 1) with the first of two shows at the Tredegar House in Newport, South Wales, U.K.
No proper North American tour dates have yet been scheduled, although rumors are swirling that Radiohead will turn up for surprise shows in New York and Los Angeles while its members are in the U.S. Billboard's Sept. 16 issue will feature an interview with the band.[Billboard.com]
"Thom Yorke has spoken out for the first time about the harrowing time he encountered prior to the recording of the new RADIOHEAD album 'KID A'."
"Radiohead have admitted that the lengthy conception of their new album Kid A sparked a number of "crisis meetings" for the band - a reaction reflected by the revelation that one song - Knives Out (which didn't even end up on the album) - took 373 days to complete."

From Juice (Australia): "Radiohead's eagerly awaited new album is on its way and JUICE magazine has just completed one of only three interviews with Thom Yorke worldwide. Last night, our roving journo in the mother country, Lauren Zoric, sat down with Thom Yorke for a DNM (deep and meaningful) chat at a Cardiff cafe. It was Yorke's first interview to promote the album and one of only three worldwide he has agreed to. The others are for Q (UK) and Spin (US)."
The UK singles from The Bends and OK Computer will be reissued in the UK on September 4th and 18th. For a list of releases, see sirencd.com. Also according to this site, initial orders of 'Kid A' will include an extra booklet hidden behind the CD tray and there will be a limited double 10" in a gatefold sleeve.
As stated on radiohead.com, there will be more playbacks in the UK on September 4th and 7th. Go here to see how you can get a ticket.
Apparently there will be a playback of Kid A at the Sony IMAX theater at Sony Lincoln Square (68th and Broadway) in New York City next Tuesday, September 5, at 6:30. It is unclear if this playback is for the public or for media only.

Thanks a lot to Aurélien & Mona at ne pas a.v.a.l.e.r. (French Radiohead fanclub), who got to listen to 'Kid A' today, for posting their observations and comments. You can read them in the news section in
On Channel 4's (UK) Mirrorball program, it was revealed that music video directors Shynola (aka Richard Kenworthy and friends) are working with Radiohead; they didn't say which song(s), but they did mention it was a dream project which fulfilled their entire lives. Their previous work includes videos for UNKLE, Grooverider, Quannum, Morgan and Cypress Hill, as well as some very stylish animated NatWest ads. For those who haven't seen any of these, they're all computer generated but each with a distinctive look, ranging from almost hand-drawn to deliberatelyvideogame-esque. [ thanks FMA.com ]
