Welcome to RAGING BULLDOGGES, where we strive to produce extraordinary Bulldogges with tremendous personalities! We are a small breeder of Olde Boston Bulldogges, located in beautiful Northern California. We feed a MAINLY bones and raw meat diet, along with a small amount of premium dry food. Our dogs receive minimal vaccinations. Our goal is to breed sound, good looking, working dogs.
OBB's are an all around, fun-loving kind of dog. Usually bigger and more robust than their show cousin the Boston Terrier, OBB's have always been bred with health and soundness in mind. An OBB should be able to do any kind of job or dog sport you want (size permitting, of course). They are able to breathe better because they have a real muzzle. They are usually free whelping, because they are NOT bred for tiny, narrow hips. They are less prone to eye injury because their eyes are set into their heads, not bulging out like a Boston terrier's, and the longer length of the muzzle protects the eyes more.
OBB's look more like the original Boston, before it was bred down in size and had it's face distorted by extreme breeding practices. Indeed, some lines of OBB can be traced all the way back to the original bull & terrier progenitors of the Boston Terrier, making the OBB the older breed.
