Cookie Rankin

Carol Jean "Cookie" Rankin was born on May 4th and is the second youngest member of the group. Cookie is mainly a lead vocalist, with her vocals (along with Jimmy) leading the way on the smash hit "Fare Thee Well Love".

Cookie has done some songwriting. Her two songs, "The River" and "Maybe You're Right (written with Gordie Sampson) are played on the radio and have videos that can be seen on CMT.

Although the Rankins are usually found performing as a group, they aren't afraid to try other things on their own or with another performer. Cookie demonstrated this when she recorded a song with Natalie MacMaster on Natalie's album, No Boundaries. The song is called "The Drunken Piper" and well worth a listen.
