The live recordings are listed in chronological order.

Quality rating?
The first letter is the rating of the image quality. A+ is a perfect clear image or almost perfect. These videos are rare usually. A is very good but not perfect, it's still clear and very enjoyable. A- is good but a few generations old. image is still clear enough to enjoy the show though. B+ is starting to be less enjoyable. the image is less clear. then you have B, B-, C+, C... the image of a video rated "B-", "C+" or "C" is not good, it's for real fans only for if you want to get a very unique show that is not available in good quality.

The second letter is teh sound quality. The sound quality is noted by letters. A+ is a perfect recording (like an official live release). "A" is excellent, "A-" is good or very good. "B+" is okay or good. "B", "B-" and "C".... are not really good they are for die hard collectors or for people who absolutely want a particular show (for example they were there or some rare songs are played....)
For example, if a video is rated "A/A-" means that the image is very clear (maybe not as clear as TV but close) and the sound is good but not perfect.

I also have some video tapes that are not live. Interviews and GNR tv specials, also very interesting. check out my other band's videos including Snakepit and Slash's Blues ball.

to go directly to the tracklist of a video just click on it! When i copy videos, i use Maxell GX-Silver high quality video tapes usually and i copy in SP mode for better quality.

Guns N' Roses Videos:
Don't forget that i can copy them but also, all these videos can be recorded on tapes (So you'd be able to listen to the sound of any video in your stereo or you car!).

Guns n' Roses live in TORONTO (1st Night) '91 (A/A-):

There is two versions of this concert on videos floating around. I have the best version. This version has good quality but the show is incomplete (still over 2 hours though). The other version (that i dont have) is the full show but the quality is not very good. OK let's talk about the show now, beecause it's a great one! That's an audience shot video but very good image (I give a "A" for image quality), it's a good mix of stage shot and screen shot. The camera is not close but not very far either (good zoom). The screen shots are just amazing. November Rain is really very good, Axl and Slash are really into it! Izzy used a "V" shaped guitar during a part of the show (tied up, sweet child...). Slash plays something that sounds familiar during his guitar solo, he also played, of course, the Godfather Theme. During the show Axl once asked for another microphone, then he introduced a special guest: Sebastian BACH (skid row) and they did an ultra fast and amazing performance of YOU'RE CRAZY (appetite version). Bach sings most of it with Axl, great voice and alot of energy! Slash said after the song "I'm impressed". Axl then talk a while to the crowd about something that pissed him off, then he ask the crowd "what do you wanna hear?", then he told Slash "Hey slash you'll be happy i heard a bunch of loud "nightrain" here!". The song rocked! Axl and Slash and the whole band are having a good time. Knockin' on Heaven's door (last song of the video) is also a highlight of the night. Slash is the best! His second solo is amazing, then he even go help Sorum on the DRUMS! He also plays a solo with his guitar behind his head at the end. The song is not cut at the end. Setlist:

Guns n' Roses live in Saratoga Springs June '91:

This video is very very recommended. It's an audience shot but the taper is filming the screen and it's almost like a pro shot! you see the band from many cameras and with great close ups! The only difference with a Pro shot is that sometimes you see some people in front of the camera but most of the time there is nothing to hide the screen and the camera is very stable. During "Dust N' Bones" you dont see much though! Axl tell the crowd about the previous night in a Toronto studio where they recorded "Get in the ring" and he asked them to scream "get in the ring" a few times and he told them that they would be on the album! Get in the Ring is not played though. they are on the album! I was happy and surprised to see them playing Dead Horse (Slash played the intro on his Les Paul). Yesterdays and Rocket Queen are also played. the video is pretty long. the image and sound is good! This show rocked, just like the philly show a few days after.

Guns n' Roses live in Philadelphia June '91:

(Audience shot A-/A-). Excellent show! VERY long (150 min.). During Welcome to the Jungle a fight happen between the GNR photograph and a fan and Axl stop the song to insult the fan and the guy is finally thrown out of the show and they restarted Jungle from the begining. Izzy Stradlin' still in the band The image quality is very great for an audience shot. but this is a little bit dark that is why i didn't give A or A+. But the camera is very close. the sound is good.

Wow! an amazing show! In Argentina GNR are playing in front of an enormous crowd and these people are very excited. Axl stop the show two times to insult the people who are throwing things on the stage (they stop in the middle of Nightrain and You could be Mine). After Attitude the band (without Axl) play a great blues Jam (probably because Axl is gone somewhere and can't be found(??) Anyway the blues jam is awesome! Definitely a recording to have if you're a real fan. I also have 2 perfect CD's of this show. Look at the setlist of that great concert:

MTV Uncut & unedited rare stuff (3 hours; Pro; A+/A+):

It's an extremely long video (near 3 hours) and it's featuring a bunch of uncut/unedited MTV footage. The image and sound qualilty is amazing. Here's what i have on this video:

    The Interviews:
This video it really the ultimate cool interview video to learn alot of things and to have a very good time watching it. Like when they interview a member of Guns n' Roses, what they show on TV is maybe just 30% of what they filmed. On this tape you have the whole interviews, from before it starts and they're installing the mic to after it's over so you hear all the conversation and it's a whole lot better that way. some Slash or duff or Axl interviews are maybe over 30 minutes non stop. Nothing is beeped, and it's just so interesting and sometimes funny. You hear 3 interviews from the opening day of the UYI tour in may 91; Dizzy talking about his first gig with GNR (in front of 145 000 people!), then Slash doing a very long interview, he wears a "hard cock cafe" shirt instead of a "hard rock cafe" shirt, then Axl is interviewed and it's even longer. This video is also featuring interviews from Paris 92: Jeff Beck talks about how he got involved in that GNR concert (finally he did not perform with GNR live and he left before the actual show because of something major but he did do the rehearsal and all that stuff with them. Then a cool interview with Duff also from paris, that one is long and what Duff is saying is very interesting and funny (like when he talks about this crazy concert in Paris and how he see himself in the middle of guys like Beck, Perry, Tyler, Kravitz, Slash... and about when he was teaching how to play LOCOMOTIVE to Jeff Beck! At the end Lenny Kravitz joins Duff for the interview. Finally the last interview is a very long one with Slash in Washington (Opening of the GNR/metallica tour).

    The Songs performed:
Locomotive is played entirely with Jeff Beck on that video (Instrumental because Axl doesn't participate to the rehearsal), it's very very cool to see locomotive on TV (because this is a song that is very rare on bootleg videos!) with such a perfect quality; We can see Joe Perry and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith on the side of the stage, enjoying the great tune. Then there is some footage of the band with Jeff Beck, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry jamming on "Train Kept A Rollin'" a few times.

    The Other Stuff:

  • THE ST-LOUIS INCIDENT: They show the last minutes of the GNR show in St-Louis before the riot. The band is playing "Rocket Queen", Axl see someone doing an illegal recording of the show (or taking picture? i am not sure), he asks the security to do something, those security guys are being assholes and don't do anything so Axl get pissed and decide to jump into the crowd to solve the problem himself. we can see him in the crowd trying to hit someone and being very mad, then he hit someone else and he returns on stage, thanks the "lame ass security" and leave. Slash also tell the crowd that they're out of there.
  • The GNR vs STEVEN ADLER trial: Axl Rose in court dressed in a weird green suit and answering questions from the lawyer. There's several questions about the song Mr. Brownstone, the drugs in GNR, the Stones shows, some papers Axl signed, etc.etc...
  • MTV reporter having some problem recording a little something after a GNR show at the ritz, she does like 15 takes! Many fans interrupt her. Some of the Ritz 91 show is filmed on this video and also when the GNR members arrive at the Ritz.

MTV special: First show of the UYI tour 1991 (A+/A+):

This video is from MTV. It's a 90 min. special about the big excitement of the first show of the monster big Use Your Illusion tour in May 1991. There is interviews, some clips (live and regular videos), they talk about the tour, they interview a few fans... pretty good. 90 minute long.

2h30 min video: "The illusion years":

This long video is very cool. Alot of interviews, Slash talks a lot and it's interesting, duff, also the "new" members: Gilby, Matt.... This video is also featuring videos (live and regular ones), facts, news, infos... Also the freddie Mercury tribute concert (Gnr/slash/Axl songs only). Great.
