Below Elbow
Passive Prosthesis

Below elbow passive prosthesis.

The passive below elbow prosthesis is designed for those who require a light weight cosmetic prosthesis. Although the hand and fingers are not active on a passive prosthesis, they may be re-postioned for various grips or used for opposition for the sound limb. Fitting styles may vary from a self-suspending socket or the addition of a light weight suspension sleeve. A standard production glove may be choosen as in the photos above and below, or a full restoration style finish such as a livingskin maybe used. For more options and in depth instructions on this prosthesis contact the Rehab Indy Staff.
