The village existed simply along the line of the road, being no more than two houses deep on the gorge side to about 30 metres deep on the other. A number of even narrower side roads led to the houses.

The village was reached by negotiating a steep, narrow road between trees. As the village appeared,so the trees disappeared, being replaced by houses

As we approached,the local entrepreneurs hurried out of their houses to set up a display, each of their particular craft.
