In August of 1999 my first Alpine climbing partner Bill Zimmerman and myself made our way back to Boston Basin on a three day excursion to climb Forbidden and Shark Fin Tower. The weather was glorious and we had the climbs to ourselves. The West Ridge of Forbidden being a 50 crowded climb sported at least 4 parties. The descent was a bit heart pumping but it was uneventful (east face). I would never want to do that descent if the rock is wet. The next day we headed up to climb Sharkfin Tower. We had hoped to climb the South East Face but discovered that the bolts were missing. Evidently they are the removable kind. Instead we opted for the SE Ridge which was a great climb.
