Katherine National Park
Edith Falls (28 Sep)

It's easy with Mum & Dad as my porters.
We hiked to the Upper Edith Falls.
It was a hot 45 deg C day and I
fell asleep while being portered.
The upper fall was very scenic
and the cool water was a
refreshing treat for us all.

It's my first caving experience and I just
love the sparkling limestones.
Cutta Cutta Cave (29 Sep)
Burnt Fingers!
(28 Sep)

I burnt my fingers during dinner time at the
Low Level Caravan Park. Now I know never to
ever touch the top of a lit gas lamp.
After crying for an hour, Daddy brought me
to the Katherine Hospital for finger dressing.
My first lesson on the concept of temperature.

We went on a 2.6km hike in the gorge. The
rocks have rounded pebbles embedded in them
signifying this place was once underwater.
Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Park
(30 Sep)
The canoes here discriminate against babies like me, so
we went on a cruise to get a close-up experience of
the gorge system. We visited the first two gorges. They
are manificent, especially for rock climbers like us!
