Delaware County Court Response to Adoption Search Inquiry

2001 updates

No response was received to the inquiry letter sent in April 2001.

May 2001 Update: In some unrelated assistance, however, a helpful searcher passed on the following information:

The contact person is still Eileen Burnett, orphans court clerk. 610-891-4418. The only change is that the letter requesting petitions must be sent to the new president judge, Kenneth A. Clouse. The address is still 201 W. Front Street, Media PA 19063.

October 2001 Update: A searcher reports that Eileen Burnett seems to have retired, but correspondence was received from Diane Gabriele, Orphans' Court Administrator.

With these changes, it would be smart to call first and make sure you address your inquiries for non-id, request for search (if you are an adopted person) or waiver of confidentiality (if you are a birth parent) to the right person.
