I lost my mind today… and I know exactly where it went
In places far away from reality… where there was peace of mind
Walking through pastures of green… some may say, God’s country
Where things are simple… and trust was easy
Fear was not needed… and joy was not missed
I lost my mind today… in the neurosis of idealism
And rested my thoughts from the in… sanity of reality
Touching the strength of compassion… gentleness of truth
With the freedom of the heart… which was not shamed to hide
I lost my mind today… thank goodness!
