Launched in 1998, IMPACT MUSIC PUBLICITY appeared
upon the scene as an independent venture focused on music publicity, artist relations, promotion and management- built
primarily around a small, core group of independent, regional performers.
But, all things change.
While bands may come and go, good music goes on forever,
and Impact has evolved to be a champion of good music - grass roots and the commercially popular.
Please view this site as an on-going testament to really good music from a music-lover
who wants to share the news, provide insight, critiques and some of my own thoughts.
Herein you'll find selected archived reviews, performer interviews, live show
and event coverage as they originally appeared on music-related websites.
Since many of these sites have changed or have ceased online publication altogether,
many of the original links no longer exist. Therefore, I've imported much of the content onto these pages.
Look around.
For within these pages you will find reviews and interviews related to MatchBox
Twenty, Lifehouse, Pretenders, OKGo, Beck, Lisa Loeb, My Morning Jacket, the 2001 CMJ Music Marathon, John Mayer, Cooper Temple
Clause, Godsmack, Ben Jelen, and a smattering of independent artists within and from around NYC (Terry Christopher, PlasticEaters,
ThisWay, and others).
