Rune is the all-original trio out of Albany, NY, spinning it's own cutting edge music fusing rock, folk, funk, hip hop, jazz, pop, and the blues to create a sound as diversified as its members. Rune burst onto the music scene in 1997 with it's single, 12-30-20, a song that runs the fine line between folk and hip hop.
Fronting this unique sound is BJ FitzGerald, with his blues-driven guitar licks, and earthy voice. Mike Lawrence, a.k.a. "The Groove", lays down the bottom end with his melodic lines and kickin' slap. Last, but not least, is Dan "The Prodigy" Davine, with his jazz-influenced beats that make the audience want to dance.
Bottom line, Rune is the next wave in music, with one foot in the old and one foot in the new.
