I have made this recipe many times and it has never failed. It has a very nice tender almost flaky crust.
4 1/2 to 5 cups white flour
1/4 cup salad oil
2 pkgs. dry yeast
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
2 cups lukewarm water

In large mixer bowl, add two cups of the flour and stir in yeast; add water, oil, salt and sugar.
Mix with hand mixer 1 minute on low, (scraping sides of bowl often)then mix 3 minutes on high speed.
Add enough of the remaining flour to make a moderately stiff dough. Turn out on flowered board and knead 10-15 minutes, until elastic. Place in oiled bowl, turning once to coat both sides with the oil. Cover and let rise in warm place until double in size, about 2 hours.
Remove dough from bowl and divide in half. Let rest 10 minutes. Place each half in a bread pan, cover and let rise 30 minutes. Bake 30 minutes at 375 degrees or until golden brown and hollow sounding when tapped.
