BUCKEYE MARTINFEST gets bigger and better each year.
At Buckeye Martinfest we set an attendance record of 120+. We hope that those who didn’t attend this year will plan
to come next year. Tom Henry (ODNR-retired) banded the birds. At the Kiwanis Civic Center table top displays were manned by
Metro Parks - Serving Summit County, ODNR-Division of Wildlife, Warm Up Portage Lakes, Portage Lakes Kiwanis, the Akron Astronomy
Club, and the Portage Lakes Purple Martin Association. Our thanks to the Southside Leader, the Barberton Herald, and the Suburbanite
for their coverage of this event.
