The Parrots of the World Need Your Help!

Parrots are the worlds most popular pet birds, however, in the wild they are not faring too well. Over two-thirds of the worlds parrot species are in decline, some, like the Kakapo, are so critically endangered that they may become extinct within the next 10 years. The plight of the parrots is not as well documented in the worlds press as that of other more 'popular' endangered animals, such as the whale or the tiger. If we don't act soon, it may be too late to save some of these beautiful and charismatic birds.

My aim in producing this web site is to raise public awareness of their fate. On the left you will find a list of links to other environmental and parrot-friendly sites. This page is currently under construction, I will add more information, including a section on pet parrots as soon as I have time. Thank you for caring enough about the world to visit my page.
