Center field will be changing for the 2001 seaseon as Canton Water Dept. Is adding city water to the area. The trees is center will be taking down in early Jan. The result this brings in is that the fence will be taken out another 10-15 feet. We will also round the fence so it isn's so cornered.
This is THE BEER STUMP
It rests in shallow left-center field and has claimed many an injury. Chad from Akron suffered a broken wrist early in the 2000 season and was unable to return. The good news in this is that the Barnett Tree Company of Akron took this stump out. Now instead of a nice tree stump we will have a brown dirty mess. The Bad News is that we have no where to put are BEER!!! This will be discussed more during the winter meetings.
Most of these pictures were taken the week after the flood. There was some substantial damage sustained. Since the flood we have added 55,000 watts of lighting power that light up the field like an airport runway. You mean there are people who don't play wiffleball under the lights.
When you make solid contact and tag one deep to right, you will see the splash of the ball as it lands in Wiffle Cove. The Fish and turtles make it impossible to retreive any balls that land there.
When fall comes in the left field alley you can see the lights from Fawcett Stadium, the Football field that sits next to the Football Hall Of Fame.
The only downfll to this field is the phone lines that are in 15% of left field. We are in constant battle with Ohio Bell on getting these moved but they do not choose to believe in the power of wiffleball.
Also Special thanks to all my neighboors that put up with 20-30 screaming drunk guys once a week.
