In the ' 98 Laugh Festival he toured the 'Driving Mr. Daisy' show to Auckland and Wellington where the Festival Director described him as " Excellent. ( Loder ) had them eating out of the palm of his hand ".

Mike then joined with Wade Jackson and Mark Scott in forming Laugh Inc. to write and perform sketch and improvised comedy. The group has proved very popular and ran a regular comedy night at Auckland’s ‘Horse & Trap’. New Zealand’s first Smokefree comedy venue.

‘PICKS OF THE FRINGE’

This "hour of standup comedy had the highest laughs-per- minute tally of anything I saw at this years Fringe’.

WEEKEND EXPRESS

"There is no weak link. One of the most original comic minds I have seen in a long time".

Brent Butt, Urban Well, Vancouver.

"These personable Auckland comedians on their first Canadian tour do make their riotously funny one hour show seem much, much shorter. Mike, who uses a wheelchair, begins by telling a couple of laugh-out-loud disabled person jokes.

Then he moves away from "Cripple humor" entirely and within minutes the wheelchair disappears as his targets are all hilariously skewered ".

THE EDMONTON SUN

" A sit down stand-up story teller, sharing sharply funny tales about everything from handicapped parking to drug sniffing dogs".

SEE MAGAZINE

" Great, witty, rapid fire. Had us on the edge of our seats "
