The Video File
By ANIKA VAN WYK
SLEEPY HOLLOW (Paramount, 105 mins.): This is one
of those movies that you'd be ticked at after spending $10 to
see it on the big screen, but it makes a great video.
Tim Burton directs this spooky movie about a headless
horseman who is on a killing spree in a small town.
Johnny Depp plays a man of science who is too far on the
cutting edge for those around him. When he arrives to
investigate the murders, he refuses to believe in the headless
horseman (Christopher Walken). He is forced to change his
tune when he encounters the angry rider.
Along the way he befriends a young woman (Christina Ricci)
and there is a minor love sub-plot.
The special effects are intriguing on the small screen and the
overall film is dark and scary enough to be fully enjoyed.
