221B Baker Street

Abode of Sherlock Holmes

221B Baker street, probably one of the most well-known addresses in London city. Here was where Sherlock Holmes resided. As we all know, Sherlock Holmes used to share his appartment with Dr. Watson(the narrator of his episodes). Mrs. Hudson, the old lady with a warm disposition, was the house keeper. As we recall, in 'The Sign of Four', Dr. Watson falls in love with the victims' daughter and eventually towards the end of the case gets proposed and marry. This made him leave his appartment at 221B Baker Street and move in to a new house. But he was a frequent visitor at Baker Street and has accompanied Holmes in most of his cases. As it appears in the stories, 221B Baker Street seems to be a cosy place lined with Sherlock Holmes' accessories and paraphernalia. Below you will find a couple of snapshots of 221B Baker Street and within.
