Interesting Pig Facts

1. Famous pigs: Miss Piggy, Wilbur, Babe, Gordy, Piglet, Old Major, and Porky and Petunia Pig

2. The longest birth for a sow was two days long.

3. The most amount of piglets born in a single litter was 34.

4. Pigs are generally smarter than dogs; they pick up tricks more quickly.

5. Pigs always defecate away from their feeding area.

6. Pigs communicate through grunts.  Different grunts have different meanings.

7. The largest pig was 2552 pounds and stood five feet nine inches.
