Welcome to my site. On this page you will find some of my random musings on a variety of topics from art and design to science and engineering. As I am studying electronics engineering, I have devoted a seperate section to it. In addition, being and Indian, there is a section on India, and of course, a page about myself. This site was born out of a desire to experiment with various techniques in graphic design. I have been studying graphic design in my spare time for almost five years now, including forays into graphics programming and website design. The Internet has been an invaluable source of information, and I encourage anyone interested in design to search this vast storehouse of information. Some of my favourite websites are listed in the design section of this site. Update (June 2002): Just a word of warning, this site was first designed quite a while back, so some of the information is REALLY out of date. Just to get everyone upto speed, i'm doing my post grad diploma in information technology. I am also running a sporadic technology based newsletter on yahoogroups. You can look at it out here. Subscription is open to anybody. Also been fiddling in tons of new stuff lately, most notably weblogs and gameboy advance development. Both are fascinating areas, and if you look closely, you can see signs of the new internet culture of free information and cool technology. Enjoy the site ? Like the design ? Finally, a new image. This is a monochrome image of bruce wayne (batman). Used an image in one of the comics
as a reference. The whole thing is two colour, with typical comic book style harsh lighting. I kinda like this
image. Anime really fascinates me, so I might do some more anime stuff from time to time. 10th March 2002
Wow, almost a year has gone by since I last updated this site. But the site isn't dead.

Yes, a long time since an update on this site. I have added a new section in the design section of this site,
where I will put in links to cool sites. Hopefully, in a while there should be a good collection of interesting
sites there. Also watch out for some longer musings which will be coming soon. 15th January 2001
Added an anime drawing that I did. Its a piece of Final Fantasy 7 Fan Art.
There is going to be a multiplayer tournament in Surf's Up Cafe in poona on the 26th
and 27th of Jan. If you are interested in multiplayer games, I strongly suggest that you
check the official site. It promises to be quite a big event. 9th January 2001

Hey everyone, have a happy new year, the real beginning of the new millennium (hope the spelling is okay). 26th December 2000
Yay! Viswanathan Anand has won the world chess championship, becoming the first asian
to win the world title. He also breaks the recent stranglehold on the title by Russians. 20th December 2000
Finished two new pieces of artwork. Called Autumn Breeze and Confusion, they are easily
my best attempts so far. Autumn Breeze is a clean piece of art which contrasts the brown
colours of autumn with the greens of spring. Confusion, my best piece so far, is a
reflection on the mental state of confusion. Both the pieces are based on a painting
by Du Bois Fenelon Hasbrouck titled Autumn Landscape. 19th December 2000
The Smithsonian Institute has an excellent online exhibit. It is called
"The American Presidency : A Glorious Burden", and is quite beautifully done. It is very
interesting, even if you have no interest in american presidents. 17th December 2000 Just started work on this website. With some free time on my hands, I decided to put together a personal project, where I could experiment with design, something I was never able to do when I was doing my web designing. When working with clients, you are often constrained in the design process. Now, I can try out whatever I want. |

of info and lots of links. Its really awesome, and anyone who is interested in Jonny Quest
