Greenspan's Floor-Time Model This is an intervention model. The Floor-Time Model is an application of the interactive play strategies for teaching the earliest skills. It is based on the thesis that emotional interactions can stimulate cognitive and emotional growth. The adults’ role in the cognitive/behavioural model is to follow the child’s lead and play at whatever captures the child’s interest while building on his actions in increasingly complex ways that literally compel the child to want to continue the interaction.
