When the Kangaroo Fell

A wind is blowing across the seas
It started a while ago
but we didn’t see
As people tell lies that aren’t lies,
as truth is misused, and justice confused
by the mighty

From the island you will see, but you will not hide
nor will you fight what’s coming until it is here
The kangaroo will not be able to stand
the breeze is too strong
as histories page is rewritten

And as excuses are made
and reality facades,
the land will return to its beginnings
Re-owned by the mother’s hands

So the force will rise from the south
and face their brothers in the north
to fight against common sense

New colours: the shadow of night
and the fluid of life
Will rise as a challenge
for those who will fight

But all forces will crumble
from battles within
and the strong will strike at the strong
Doctrines will tail
One’s way will fail
And freedom will have a new meaning

Once again the kangaroo stands
but never taller than any
Voices will demand
a new war to reprimand
But only love will prevail
