I made this page to show ski tricks. The
pictures
aren't of the best quality but
you still
will see my friends tricks.
A 360 is one of the harder tricks to land. During the jump the skier rotates 360 degree making a circle. 540's, 720's, 900's and 1080's are just 360's spins with an extra 180 spin in each.
My Friends to the side here both show good examples of 360's. Kyle to the right is rotating to the right, while Billy is rotating to the left.
Doing a backscracher requires you to jolt your knees backwards to bring your tips downward to parrell to the back. This is also dangerous to do off of small jumps because your tips could get cought.
The example of to the right is great. The skis are in perfect vertical to the back.
Twisters are like 360's expect only the feet move putting the body chest forward and the skilooking like they are straight with the chest
This is the best picture of a twister I've ever seen. It shows a really good example of twister.
A spread eagle is the easiest trick to do, but it's the most important trick in combanation jumps. It's used to get that fanal small trick in. What it is ,is moving your legs as far apart as posible.
This jump is very good example of a spread. The legs and arms form a perfect X.
A daffy is a trick where you bring one ski down behind your back and the other in front of you trying to keep both skis vertical.
The example to the left is good except they over extended the back leg and didn't stretch his front leg enough.
A kosack requires the most agility of the tricks. The skis moves his skis so his body with the skis looks like an H.
This really show the H form with the skis and body. I would give this one a 10.
Flips by far are the most daring tricks to try. It requires the skier to swing there weight in a backward or forward direction. In both flips the skier loses site of the ground.
In this example the skier is doing a back flip with a spread eagle in the middle.
A helix is a mix between a 360 and iron cross(coming soon). It makes the skier pull skis while rotating and cross them all with in 1-2 seconds. The more commonly known form of this trick is known as a Mosley named after it's creater. It has grab in the middle while the skis are crossed. Mosley won a gold medel at the Olympics in Nagano, Japan.
This is a good picture of a helix. Ian has a perfect cross while rotating.
This is Mosley as said above done by its creator Johny Mosley
This is Johny Mosly himself. It's his trick so he always does it right
This is a very difficult trick to pull off. You have a to turn your self sideways and bring yourself flat again.
This person does a good job of doing the japan he throws a grap in there for spice
