Skyhawk History Well, there is not much of a history yet. Skyhawk Australian Shepherds is not a registered name yet but the paper work is almost done. As of now I only own one Aussie, but am acquiring one in 1999. Since there is not a history yet i'll ell you a little about me.
My name is Sherri Johnson and I am an Aussie addict. Ever since the purchase of Chase (Casa Buena's Chasing Dreams NAC, NJC) in 1996 I have lived and breathed Australian Shepherd. I began reading all the books on Aussies that I could lay my hands on. I even read about breeding, herding, agility, kennel managment, flyball, scent hurdling, obedience, and conformation. I'm still not done! I also look on the 'net', ask the CKC, ASCA and a breeder or two lots of questions. I have tons of binders full of information on everything and anything to do with dogs, especially the Australian Shepherd. I also own a 6 year old Yorkshire Terror. His call name is Rollie and his full name is Rollie NAC, NJC, CGC, FbD. Last but not least is my mutt. Although she is not a purebred I have done everything with her. Scruffy NGC, NJC is 9 years young and just recently retired from demonstrations, obedience teaching, and agility. She has put many wonderful years into being the best dog ever!!! (or so in my opinion) She now lays around, putting the other two in their place if they get a little too rowdy! |
