'I Was Better Off'

{Stephanie}'s comments on this song: This being the only song on the album written by Jason alone, and notably the most depressing, you just may think he's of a rather pessimistic nature. Not true, but it was good for us {the fans} to hear what happens when someone channels that emotion into a song. This is an essential of the album; a bit different from anything else on it, yet perfectly fitting.
