Alumni Night at the New Castle Thunder
Saturday, July 14, 7 p.m., N. Kerr Thompson Stadium, Slippery Rock University. The New Castle Thunder minor league football team raises the strong football tradition in Lawrence County to a new level. The Thunder's mission is dedicated to helping the surrounding communities of Western Pennsylvania by providing economic growth, recreational opportunities and by giving back to the community. The Thunder play all their home games at Thompson Stadium. Tickets are regularly $10 but will only cost $5.

Annual Fall Classic Golf Scramble
The Slippery Rock University Alumni Association will host its annual Fall Classic Golf Outing on Friday, October 12, 2007, at Olde Stonewall Golf Club, in Ellwood City, ranked in Golf Digest's "Top 100 Public Golf Courses in America." The Fall Classic at Slippery Rock University was organized to raise funds for the Alumni Association's student scholarship funds and the Russell Wright Alumni House Expansion Project. Proceeds from this event go directly to students who receive academic scholarships from the SRU Alumni Association. Please join us for this worthwhile event by playing a round of golf or supporting us as a sponsor. $130 for individual and $520 for a foursome.

Based on the true story of Patsy Cline's friendship with Houston housewife and avid fan, Louise Seger, Always...Patsy Cline is an extraordinary "behind-the-scenes" look at the life and music of a true music legend. This moving tribute features more and 20 of Cline's greatest hits. Bus transportation to and from SRU provided. Performance is Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, 2 p.m., CLO Cabaret Theater, 719 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh. Coach transportation leaves at 11 a.m. from the Russell Wright Alumni House parking lot.
