1. Smoking Does Not Cause Lung Cancer:(According to WHO 1999 Data) Journal of Theoretics. Let me share with you truthful and unbiased information and then YOU can determine whether the benefits outweigh the risks.

2. Stanney's: The Best, Last Hope For Breakfast: By Samantha Phillipe. Goodbye last refuge of the American Dream. Farewell to small business ownership. It all belongs to the government now. They'll let you work for them if it suits them. They will let you eke out a meager existence on your Daddy's property as you turn away old friends and family with government policy, instead of the good old common sense that built your legacy. You have lost it all, every freedom your family fought and died for in every war you were ever called upon to maintain personal freedoms and the American Dream.

3. Enough Is Enough Protest March: September 4th: By Joy Faulkner. Enough IS enough. They do NOT own us - we own them & it's time we reminded them of that. THEY are in rebellion against their sacred obligation to PROTECT, not to violate, the individual liberties of the citizens of this country; it is THEY who should be rounded up & locked up. Ladies & gentlemen, let the word go forth that things are going to change.

4. Federal Tyranny Marches On: A Minority View: By Walter E. Williams. Michael Jacobson, director of the Center for Science in the Public Interest, says about large food servings, "It's high time the (restaurant) industry begins to bear some responsibility for its contribution to obesity, heart disease and cancer."

5. The EPA ETS Fraud: Forces. Here is the whole US Federal Court decision. This decision makes liars of all those "professionals" who have exposed themselves by stating that ETS hurts children and adults. It severely questions the integrity of our institutions, and those ministries and department of health who have promoted smoking bans, and manipulated the public opinion into the perception that "smokers are killers". It accuses politicians, health activists, certain doctors, and whoever else has engaged in the persecution of smokers of being corrupted.

6. Government Is a Clear and Present Danger Smoking: By Tom Clancy. Tobacco is grown by farmers throughout the American Southeast, and those farmers have for years been subsidized by the same federal government that is suing the companies that purchase the leaves from the farmers. The logic here is difficult to fathom. The government thinks the people who process and sell the leaves are more to blame for the public health effects of smoking than those who nurture the leaves into being, but maybe there's a subtlety here that escapes me.

7. Speak Out! Smokers Fighting Discrimination. Post your letter here... let the world know where you stand.

8. We Are Everyday People:
*** How to Avoid Travel Nightmares: NetGuide. From relatively minor inconveniences such as malaria in Malaysia or a stolen wallet in Walla Walla to more serious problems such as a mugging in Milan or a death on the Nile, knowing how to deal with problems when they arise can make all the difference.

*** Airline Smoking Policies: National Smokers Alliance. Airlines may change their policies so we suggest that before booking a flight, you check with the airline for their latest smoking policy.

***Pipe Smoking 101: Pipe Able. Pipe Able is a nonprofit organization for pipe smoking men, especially those with disabilities, whose purpose is to improve the quality of life for the membership through the art and practice of pipe smoking.

*** The Dairy Industry Self-Destructs: By Robert Cohen However, careful review of that study only proves that the dairy industry will go to great lengths to commit scientific fraud and then continue to market their calcium milk myth.

*** Turn Teen Smokers Into Criminals? ThirdAge. Will criminalizing teenage smoking keep youngsters from lighting up? Or -- is it more worthwhile to target public information campaigns?

"When buying and selling are controlled by legislation, the first things to be bought and sold are legislators."
P. J. O'Rourke. Freedom By Faith

The Columbia Journalism Review l996 publication "Covering Tobacco: A Handbook for Journalists" includes a list of those legislators in the U.S. Congress who worked for tobacco control. Here is the list:

Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D-N. Mex) Sen. Bill Bradley (D-N.J.) Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass) Sen Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) Rep. Richard Durbin (D-Ill) Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif)
So Bradley's right in there with the very WORST of anti legislators.
