1. How Dangerous Is Second-Hand Smoke? By Jon E. Dougherty. As the United Nations and the World Health Organization put the finishing touches on a new global treaty designed to curb worldwide tobacco use and advertising, controversy has arisen from a previous -- but little publicized -- study completed by WHO in March 1998 concluding there is no link between second-hand smoke and cancer.

2. Those Smoking "Victims" Live Longer Than The Rest Of us! By Rosalind B. Marimont. Incredibly, analysis of the ages of the 400K supposed deaths computed by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) SAMMEC (Smoking Attributable Mortality, Morbidity and Economic Costs) program shows that tobacco is not a major health threat at all - the supposed victims did not die early! THE SMOKING "VICTIMS" LIVED LONGER THAN THE REST OF US, BY ABOUT 2 YEARS - 71.9 vs. 70. OVER 70,000, or about 17%, DIED "PREMATURELY" AT AGES GREATER THAN 85.

3. The Government Smokescreen: By Mark Schiller, MD. Here, then, are the facts not mentioned in government ads on the effects of second-hand smoke: 1) no demonstrated link to cancer; 2) personal liberty trampled; 3) private property rights destroyed; 4) the elite deciding how everyone should live.

4. Don't fall for Philip Morris: By Derrick Z. Jackson. Philip Morris is gambling that it can seduce juries to forget that today's plaintiffs began smoking in yesterday's era of denial and lies.

5. The Humorous: Forces. While travelling through the sinister motions of the anti-smoking agenda, it is time for some fun. We hope you enjoy this section. While having a good time, just keep in mind one thing: what is funny when it is happening to others, may not be so amusing when it happens to you! Make no mistake: the health Nazi brown shirts plan to be at your doorsteps within the year 2000!

6. Respiratory Infections on Rise: By Brenda C. Coleman. Hospitalizations for the most common cause of respiratory infection among children under 5 have been climbing for two decades, and researchers say one reason may be the rise of day care.

7. Socialist Origins Of Neo-Nazism: By Llewellyn H. Rockwell Jr. Nazis were health fanatics who banned cigarette smoking, promoted vegetarianism and organic gardening, engaged in abortion and euthanasia, frowned on all capitalist excess, and even promoted animal rights.
ALSO SEE:
Empty Hands? By Charles R. Kesler, The Claremont Institute. Ten years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Malraux's words are more provocative than ever. What have we learned, really, from the rise and fall of communism in the 20th century?
ALSO SEE:
Fascist Spite Will Cost Us Dearly: By Jon E. Dougherty. For example, fascist smoking Nazis have so completely gutted the tobacco industry and demonized those who use tobacco that insurance companies, city hiring boards, and unions have begun to disqualify potential employees on the basis of their smoking habits. Forget the fact that the Fourth Amendment is supposed to protect the right of a person's privacy to engage in a legal activity in his own home. And forget the fact that the U.S. government, if not the Clinton administration, is hung up on making sure everyone is treated equally.

8. We Are Everyday People:
*** The War On Tobacco: Where There's Smoke, There's Money: By Dave Barry. There is big news in the War on Smoking. The U.S. Justice Department has filed a lawsuit against the cigarette industry, boldly charging that the industry was lying -- and KNEW it was lying -- when it claimed that it never had sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky.

*** Big Brother Babysitting: By Joanne Elachi. Policies purported to be "for the children" slither past an otherwise deliberate Congress because no politician, or individual voter for that matter, wants to be labeled as against children. Not a week goes by without several new federal initiatives that seek to solve some alleged crises affecting the nation’s children.

*** Punishing A Minority: Forces Canada. "This is not about protecting anybody's health. This is about punishing a minority for its lifestyle." No, this isn't about health. It's about CONTROL.

*** States' Big Suits Against Industry: By Barry Meier and Richard A. Oppel Jr. A growing wave of lawsuits by cities and states against makers of cigarettes, guns, and now lead paint, has reignited a fierce debate over the role of lawyers and the enormous fees they can earn in legal actions brought by public officials.

Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.
- Will Rogers

The Niconazi use the term "tobacco control" for all their nefarious and deceitful activities.
Lets all call it what it is,

"Smoker Control."
