She Walks Alone?
She walks alone:
Through the forest deep and
calm
Paths and walkways wind along
A solitary figure strolls
One day in early Spring
She walks alone:
The branches of the trees
surround
They brush against her head
and arms
A soft caress as gentle as
The feather of a wing
She walks alone:
The breezes whisper out her
name
They call to her to come
and play
They tap and tug her hair
and face
As lightly as a kiss
She walks alone:
The ground is firm and comforting
As it guides her thru the
woods
The grasses touch and tickle
her
Their laugh a friendly hiss
Does she walk alone?
