The Child Inside
(Dedicated to Elliot)
Most adults have so many
responsibilities
Pay the rent, go to work
Pick up groceries
From morning sun to evening
set
There is so much to do
Time seems so tight and
you are tired
When the day is through
But when you have a moment
And you should take the
time
To put aside your serious
side
And let your spirit climb
Have some laughs, play a
game
Go outside and run
Sing some silly song or
rhyme
Just to have some fun
For although you are an
adult
You never have to hide
But keep alive and take
the time
To be the child inside
